Description

My parents purchased this for me when I was in High School. Was used for gaming and other basic tasks. Used to play a lot of Planetside 2 back in the day, not as much now but I still play occasionally. I tried my best to accurately show about how much I had paid for it at the time, the prices are not from 2019. Recently sold it to a buddy for a new 1070Ti + $250.

Part Reviews

CPU

No complaints, good CPU, never overclocked it though cause I had no idea what to do back in the day. Which I highly regret since Planetside 2 is a heavily CPU bound game.

CPU Cooler

Not a very good cooler for an i7. Only purchased it because I did not know better back in the day.

Motherboard

From what I have read this board is apparently decent for overclocking.

Video Card

It did what it was supposed to do.

Case

Really big case with good airflow.

Keyboard

Mechanical keyboards are the best, just like how PC's are the best.

Mouse

My favorite mouse.

Yeah it is nonexistent. I didn't know what cable management was back in the day haha.

Do you still have it? you could eek some more life out of it by getting a newer GPU such as a 1660 ti or RX 580, and potentially a new cooler and overclocking it.

No a friend of mine has it. We plan on overclocking it after he buys another cpu cooler. I already have a new computer.

For CPU cooler, I reccommend Scythe Fuma (~U14s performance, quiet, 50$), or mugen 5 (in between u12s and u14s, really quiet). Great cpu coolers for the price, easily overclock the 3770k.

I think he plans on getting some water cooling. Or he will buy my old Hyper 612v2.
