Parted out my previous ITX system and went back to a full ATX system. Really been into open air chassis builds lately so the case was a no brainer. Overkill for 1080p gaming, great for 1440p gaming. Platform is a little dated at this point but still works perfectly fine. Planning a 8700k upgrade soon though. 6700k is still a beast when handling gaming. Dont plan to do anything other than gaming with this machine. Planning a second build using Ryzen for my girlfriends house haha.

Re-used storage and PSU from previous build. Everything else was sourced new, and CPU/Mobo was sourced used.

Part Reviews

Fantastic CPU for gaming. A little dated at this point but still very very good nonetheless. OC'ed to 4.5 on 1.3v easily.

CPU Cooler

Good AIO. Nothing flashy and gets the job done.

Good motherboard. Decent overclocking and features. Has everything I need. More than enough USB ports, SLI support if I ever decide to. Nice color neutral color scheme too. Only complaint is the onboard audio isnt the best in my experience. Using my Astro MixAmp to power my headphones.

Video Card

Great card. The new 1180 cards are coming out soon, but honestly don't even see the need to upgrade any time soon. Pure overkill for 1080p gaming, and great for 1440p. Have no interest in 4K gaming, so this card is all I need. RGB too, so that adds 1000000mhz clock speed as we all know.

Great case with so much options. So much watercooling possibilities supported by the case. Honestly makes me want to do a custom loop just because the case is so good. Really heavy and wide though. The P1 ITX version would be good for anyone who wants the same but in a smaller package.

Looks good as it is... but custom cable sleeves would really make this build pop. :) +1

Ahhhhh! I've been going back and forth with the purchase of some CableMod cables recently haha. I might just have to pull the trigger now haha :)

How's that WD ssd treating you? I'm considering buying one.
