First built in October of 2014, this computer has gone through a lot. Video cards SSDs, cases, power supplies, falling out the back of a car... The only original parts are the CPU, motherboard, and HDD. I have built a different computer for gaming, so this one now is used for video editing and such.
A bit old now, but it still works. Not clocked too high right now as I don't need anything more for editing. Hindsight says I should have bought a 4790K at the time.
Extremely loud stock fans, One of which is already dying. Cools very good though.
Good overall, but just noticed it is missing a screw on a heat sink?? I have it reattached with a twist tie covered in electrical tape to prevent shorting. I will be contacting MSI about this.
First kit died. Had to pay $30 to ship to the US. Replacement works, but I am only running it at 1600 to match the other RAM.
Bought it last summer when RAM was cheap. Doesn't overclock at all, but it was the cheapest kit at the time.
Got it for a good price. Fast enough for me. Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive It works and is fast enough.
It works and is fast enough.
I originally had a GTX 970 in here, I moved that to my other computer. This is sufficient for all its tasks, but I say get a 4 gb 480/580 for just gaming at the same price. It is very quiet. The MSI logo is RGB but the rest of the card doesn't work with anything other than red builds. I leave the light white to match the pump.
I bought this while on painkillers from having my wisdom teeth out last year... Should have bough a more modern and cheaper case like the P400. Don't online shop and be loopy on painkillers kids. Bad combo. Case is okay, fans are able to have their speed adjusted through the built in controller. The LEDs can be turned off too. I wrapped the audio cable in electrical tape to hide the colours. Still a good case, but too expensive.
Replaced a 750w Thermaltake Smart PSU because the cables are longer on this and can reach everything in my case. The fan is a bit loud.
Doesn't move the most air but the light is nice and it is quiet.
Monitor I actually have the 22MP48 but this is the closest part picker had. Nice colours and panel.
not worth the $30 it goes for nowadays. Keys feel like mush. Buy an off brand mechanical off amazon for a similar price. The mouse is alright at least.
HyperX Cloud II 7.1 Channel Headset I love these things. They have a decent microphone and sound great. They are very comfortable. I got my Grandmother to wear them and she said that it's "Like wearing a cloud". She did not intend the pun.
