Description

This rig is mainly used for gaming in 1080p (PUBG, The Divsion 2, BFV). The Ryzen 2600 will be replaced once the new Ryzen generation comes out, so its kind of a placeholder right now. But i have to admit its getting the job done quite good. I do not plan to OC at the moment, as it has plenty of power for high FPS in the games i play. The case is providing good airflow, the GPU temp peaks at 70°C and the CPU at 55°C after long sessions and high ambient temperatur, even though i set the RPM of the fans quite low.

Part Reviews

CPU

Great performance for the price.

CPU Cooler

Keeps the Ryzen 5 cool and runs quiet. Even when the CPU was OC to 4GHZ. (I set it back to stock speed as the performance gain was not that big)

Motherboard

Got a good deal and could not resist. The quality seems to be good. Small RGB LEDs that look good in the dark. Had some problems gettin the USB 3.1 to work. But apparently it was some issues between Windows and the chipset drivers. Now all works perfectly fine.

Memory

RGB and brushed metal heatspreader. They look fantastic. Running stable at 3200Mhz.

Storage

Reused from my old rig. Fast and quiet. Will add more in the future when i run out of space.

Video Card

Great looking card, nice metal backplate. Fancy RGB and quiet fans. When in idle, fans completely stop. The GPU comes with a bracket so sag is no problem. I didn't like the design of it, so i just applied some black foil to fix it. Got lucky with the chip, it runs with up to 1950 MHz clockspeed without manual OC.

Case

Great looking case with good airflow and plenty of space. Theres only one thing i would like to criticize. The USB header cable is really stiff and theres only a small gap in the bottom for cables going to your motherboard. So it was really hard to get it through with all the other connector cables. But overall one of the best cases i used so far.

Power Supply

Quiet PSU with black sleeved modular cables. Not my first Straight Power and definetly not my last.

Case Fan

Reused from old rig. The age (3 years) is showing in some bearing noises at specific RPMs. Will replace them in the future with RGB fans.

Nice build! Could I ask what brand of black foil you used, and how did you apply it? Also, with the bracket installed, is it basically impossible to install any other cards (i.e. capture or wifi, etc) in this case and system? Thanks!

Thank you! I just ordered the cheapest black foil thats self-adhesive on amazon. I cant remember the name, sorry. It was easy to apply, cause self-adhesive. And yes, in my case its not possible to install any other cards. The big cooler of the GPU and the bracket literally need all the space under the PCI slot. For me thats not an issue though :)
