Description

First time building, going back to school with mostly online classes and my laptop died so i bit the bullet. Using it for general purpose, school, some freelance CAD work if i can score some and of course some fun gaming on the side ;)

Yes i accidentally ordered 2 motherboards and returned 1,

The processor was back ordered for a few weeks, and took some troubleshooting to get the display to post and had to re orient the cooler to blow to the back of the case instead of up because I realized it was blocking to memory slots when pointing up. Its up and running amazingly so far. Very Excited.

Awesome looking build! Too bad you can't utilize ram slot 2 and 4 to get your dual channel use out of your MOBO. Hope you love your new build.

I moved the cooler to point to the rear of the case (don't have a picture of it) because it was blocking the memory slots. I'm new at this and don't not sure what the purpose of the dual channels is or why slots 2 and 4 matter for it but i will definitely look into it. moving them RAM is easy enough. Thanks!

No problem! Duel channel allows you to utilize the full potential of your RAM. It would give you a slight performance increase but nothing super major. Maybe a few frames. Anytime!

Very glad you changed the orientation of the CPU cooler.

I thought venting up would be better, but noticed the RAM slots were blocked after the fact,so it is what it is.

You would think it is venting up, the the fan orientation in the photos shows that it WAS actually blowing the air onto the Video Card, or Down.

Have you tried any overclocking and if so what speeds and what temps did you get with the cooler?

I'm a bit hesitant to try any overclocking. I would probably want to add more fans if i ever get the balls to do it but for now, Destiny 2 runs in the 90 FPS range so i dont see the need just yet. Ill update if i ever try

1stly. Congratz. The feeling of pride and self-accomplishment after ur build boots for the 1st...nothing beats it. How are you controlling ur fans speed. Just got the P300 last week and looking at cooling options

Thanks, I haven't explored adjusting the fan speed, i just let it go. haven't done anything too strenuous on it yet so whatever the default setting is is fine for me

I haven't looked into overclocking yet. It makes me a bit nervous and for now it runs great. The fan is quiet. Don't notice it at all. Ill probably look into adding more case fans before i ever try overclocking.
