This is my second build. It was a pain to work on but totally worth it!
I used Logic Supply MC600 case and made a custom acrylic top panel for better airflow and showing off the insides.
For power supply, I am using HDPlex 160W and an external power brick. I initially bought a used Dell 330W power brick from ebay, but sadly it didn't work. Then I got a HP 230W power brick, but that didn't provide enough juice for me to boot the system sometimes. Finally, I got a Dell 240W.
I wanted the GPU mounted upwards, so I cut out some material from the back of the case for the GPU IO plate to stick out, made an acrylic GPU backplate, mounted it on the GPU using 3M double-sided tape and mounted the whole thing in the case using some 3M Dual Lock.
Deepcool RGB 350 was my initial choice for RGB lighting but then it took up too much space and I couldn't connect both strips to the motherboard, so I bought a normal 5050 strip off Amazon and plugged it into the motherboard.
I interned at AMD for the summer, so got a sweet discount on their processors :)
Their shipping time for the AM4 mounting kit sucks so bad. Their support did not respond to my suggestion of having a distribution center in the US. I couldn't even purchase the kit anywhere since it isn't available anywhere for purchase! If I had any other choice, I wouldn't have got this, but this is the only cooler that would fit in my case.
Excellent overall. Perfect layout to fit the HDPlex 160W. WiFi is slow. The included bluetooth sucks. My bluetooth keyboard and headset wouldn't function properly even when individually connected. Now the bluetooth device just shows an error no matter what I do to try install the drivers. Buying a USB BT 4.0 adapter fixed my problems.
Good compatible RAM for Ryzen. Worked right off the start.
Having interned on the AMD graphics team, I really wanted to get an AMD card, but I couldn't find any within my budget and this form factor and VR ready. Oh well, I got a free copy of Rocket League with this card.
No issues so far and great battery life I think.
Excellent 40 hours battery life.
Good mechanical keyboard with no connectivity issues so far.
