Asus themed AMD Build. Using this for 2k gaming @ the best bang for the buck.

No major issues. Had to perform the expected bios update for the CPU, but otherwise the X470-F handles the 3700X pretty well aside from an expected boost clock issue. Only gaming issue has been with Stellaris (crashing and corruption); this is likely due to young drivers on AMD's new navi architecture. Destiny 2 works great on steam after the latest BIOS update!

Yes I know I don't have aura sync RAM. I just love how great the corsair RGB kit looks.

Overall very satisfied with the build. A huge step up from my last build in terms of parts and aesthetic.

Part Reviews

Love this chip. It has kicked the *** of everything I throw at it. Using it for cpu intense games as well as maybe some streaming in the near future.

CPU Cooler

After building with this twice its safe to say this version of the hyper 212 is the best. Looks nice too.

Aside from the usual slow BIOS updates this board is amazing. Love the two m.2 slots and the reinforced pcie slots. The aesthetics just make it that much better. More satisfied going with this board rather than having to deal with the X570 BS (active cooling + blocked chipset fans).

Looks great and has decent timings.

Best bang for the buck nvme drive. Don't need more than 128 gigs so this was amazing to use in my new build for the price I payed.

Video Card

HOLY CRAP! This card is so slick, cool and chonky. It matches my build perfectly and performs above and beyond other 5700XT models. Please consider this regardless of the premium price.

Aside from a few space issues with cables in the basement/rear side pannel, this is a great case to build in. Love the amount of room it has for larger video cards and the added lighting strips.

Power Supply

Fully modular PSU that has nice cables. Not much more to say.

Amazing monitor for the price. The colours are great and 1440p freesync looks amazing with the 5700XT. Highly recommended for 2k gaming at this pricepoint.

Yea that sounds about right. My idle temps fluctuate between 40 and 50 a lot. Gaming it might hit 70 but I haven't tested it much. What is your cpu cooler?

So does the mobo have a Bios flash button or did you have to use another CPU?

No flashback. Had to flash it at the retailer (first AMD build)
