Our sixth Charity:Water completion report arrived! Thanks to your support, we were able to fund 7 water projects serving 1,817 people in India.

Here is an interactive map showing the GPS coordinates of all the completed projects we've sponsored to date:

https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=zqE0c_J1hY48.k8n9g4q57yGw

You can also find our previous completion reports below:

PCPartPicker is supported through affiliate commissions from participating retailers. We are committed to donate a portion of our earnings to charity, because I feel it's the right thing to do - to give back. When you purchase components through retailer links on PCPartPicker you're not only supporting this site, You're helping provide clean water and sanitation to people in need. 100% of donations to Charity:water go directly to the field. (Their administrative costs are funded separately.)

This isn't a gimmick or just for some tax deduction. We do this because it is important to us. We began this when the company started, and we will continue it as long as our company exists.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being a part of this and helping make this happen!

Geode1010 2 Builds 2 points 17 months ago

It says on the water, "The Carmichael Family." Is that you last name, Phillip?

Btw, Great job!!!

philip staff submitter 10 Builds 2 points 17 months ago

joelhowell 1 point 17 months ago

That's incredible, keep it up man, you, along with many others in this PC community, are making a huge difference in the world!

GentlemanShark 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

Did you dedicate it after your family?

philip staff submitter 10 Builds 1 point 17 months ago

We never specified anything like that. Our first donations to Charity:water were made personally and not through the business. Then they contacted us and we got better connected with them. Subsequent donations have been in the name of "The Carmichael Family" even though they came from the business. It wasn't deliberate - just the way it's gone.

GentlemanShark 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

I wasn't chastising you, just wondering.

philip staff submitter 10 Builds 1 point 17 months ago

Oh, no, I didn't take it that way. Just wanted to explain it so that it didn't sound like our name on there was some sort of ego trip or chest beating.

Berfs1 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

INDIA MY HOME COUNTRY!!!, nah, but my parents' home country...

GentlemanShark 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

Same here, where are you from?

Berfs1 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

Born in America, live in America.

GentlemanShark 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

As was I, I mean what part of India, I'm from north east of Delhi.

Berfs1 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

They were from a part called Calcutta (I think that is how it is spelled).

wiigamer136 2 points 17 months ago

Brother/sister. Calcutta = what the British called it since they couldn't pronounce Kolkata.

For the sake of just respecting those who fell and lost their lives for the independence of India from oppressors, I ask you to spell and call it Kolkata. Of course, thankfully both India and America are free countries. So you can take this as advice if you wish.

But even then, the real respectable person is philip and others in this situation. Not me. Damn... I need to get my *** out there and do something for my motherland as an Indian!

GentlemanShark 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

Yeah, pretty well known area. Nice to meet another somewhat Indian person on here.

joelhowell 1 point 17 months ago

Friggen incredible, it felt like just yesterday was report 5, you guys are making a huge difference in this world, and making it quick. This contributes to the many reasons I have why I love this site and this community. We are changing the world essentially one computer at a time.

ConDreeds 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

I don't know why, but the water looks tastier than tap water...

zAnimaI 1 point 17 months ago
