What should I get for a speaker?

Hi,

I'm looking at this, which seems quite good to me because of the 25 off 100 visa checkout discount.

But it seems I need some other stuffs for this - do I need amplifiers/receivers/ anything else for this? Purely a newbie in speakers and not sure...

Thanks!

They are just speakers, so you would also need an amplifier with those. Active speakers are probably what you want, as they have amplification built in. The ones to look for are Behringer, Sirus, Alesis, Samson, Mackie, M-Audio or Genelec if you really want to treat your ears. The keywords for finding the good stuff are 'active nearfield monitors'.

Thanks! Yeah I really want to treat my ears after realizing I cannot hear my teammate clearly in games using the $20ish speakers...

Same price, better speakers

Can find them as low as $70 not on Amazon also.

I like these. They sound great and you can really turn them up without any distortion. Very deep bass too if you want it.
