trying to sketch out my first build for around $500 and need opinions on these to cards. the EVGA seems like it would be better for the price but I don't know enough to make the decision I plan to play games like Ark, rust, battlefield, overwatch etc. Any input helpful thanks. build below.

can you explain?

is the nvidia one usable? its just so much cheaper to get later down the line.

Except for Ark, the 1050 Ti is a good for high to near ultra settings on 1920x1080. Ark is a different beast. Expect something like medium or low-medium settings. Last time I tried, it was poorly optimized for any GPU.

could you recommend a better one for ark under $550ish?

It's not just the graphics card; for Ark you also need a better CPU than an i3 6100.

A 980 Ti might get you 'ultra' settings at a smooth enough FPS. There's no good way around it, so it seems best to settle for a GTX 1060 or RX 480 / 470.
