Oddball question - Desktop + laptop?

Hello, y'all. My laptop was judged as dead today, so I am looking to get some replacements. Because I still require portability, I need a laptop, but also looking into getting a gaming desktop, especially for Minecraft, AoE and a few other random games, but also should be able to do CAD. I have many builds lined up (for several months), but I want to draw upon the community expertise, so yeah. I need a full set of peripherals minus a keyboard (would be great if mouse is wireless!), and the monitor has to have 2 inputs. My budget is $2500, and I am in the USA, east coast. Because I need some features enabled, I need paid Windows 10 Pro on both devices. The laptop is preferably new (no refurbished or used), should be drop-resistant and portable, and have enough performance for light CAD, light gaming and long battery life (read: Intel Integrated Graphics are fine). Points added if the laptop is a Lenovo Thinkpad! I did these two together to see what balances between the budget of the 2 devices I can expect.

Am I rambling?

Here you go. This should be great for CAD and anything else you wish to do.

The E470 is interesting, as it has a medium battery life and discrete graphics. It also has a lot of what I want. I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks!

Thanks! That one is overkill for my needs, though. I did consider it, but others said a Quadro M1000m is old, underperforming, and power-hungry. Is there another suggestion?

you shouldl build your own, if you tell me your laptop budget, i will subtract it from the desktop, and get you the best desktop your monie can buy

I don't have a set budget, I lumped the two together to see what performance I could get for my money.
