Cpu for streaming

I've dug up an old i7 4770 from a desktop that hasn't been used for over a year. The motherboard has enough pcie slots to accomodate my 1070 and elgato hd60 pro, so I'm wondering if the 4770 would be better for streaming pc and console games over my i5 6600k. I had terrible luck In the silicon lottery and my i5 can't even hit 4ghz anyway. I also have 16gb of ddr3 in quad channel vs 8gb ddr4 in single channel, and I've heard multi channel ram benefits Overwatch, the primary game I play. Is it worth the swap? This is only until next year once I can get a new 8600k/8700k so I don't care how pretty it is.

I'd say that yeah, it'll probably do better.

Alright cool, thanks. I've heard that besides power requirements and temps, even sandy bridge can go toe to toe with coffee lake, so I got an idea to get more than the measly $150 this is going for on ebay.

Everyone forgets about poor little Broadwell.

Emphasis on the "little" for LGA1150 chips

Yup, they screwed the pooch by launching it only months before Skylake and having them cost a lot more than Haswell CPU's. It is basically forgotten.
