Budget: $1000 CDN Location: Canada Use: Gaming strictly. Games like CSGO, OW, R6 Peripherals: Not required Operating System: Not required

I've heard intel is better at gaming above 60fps than ryzen and since I have a 144hz monitor I would prefer Intel.

Wouldn't it be smarter to downgrade to an i3-8100 and get a better gpu?

I’d downgrade to the 8350K instead, as it is overclockable and has higher core speed.

I might do that and once the prices go down I could maybe find a used 1060/580/570 for that price
