So a few(4-5) years ago, my family's main laptop broke. It was a really old laptop, and when we went to repair it, the guy simply said that the hard drive needed to be replaced. Because we knew nothing about computer's back then, we let the repair guy sell us a 240GB HyperX Fury SSD, which was not worth it considering the laptop was at least 10 years old and did not deserve to use an SSD.

Fast forward to now, the laptop still works fine, but I want to remove the SSD, and put it into my personal PC build so I can recycle parts and not spend another $120 to buy another SSD.

I believe that it is a 2.5" drive, however I have no idea what the other specs are because the box was thrown out long ago.

My question is, how can I remove the SSD from the laptop? The laptop is a Dell Latitude E6500.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks so much!

How did I not find that while I was looking around for 10 minutes?!

Unscrew the bottom, and find where the drive is. Take it apart piece by piece until you can pop out the drive.
