Cooler for 2700X?

Is it necessary to replace the stock cooler for the 2700X? It doesn't sound like a custom cpu cooler gives a big overclock to the processor.

You should replace the stock fan, for the following reasons...

The first one is optional but connected to the third one.

  • Keep the processor below 60°C, for having the highest available core boost performance.
  • Keeping the noise down at full processor load.
  • Keep the temps as low as possible.

But even if you don't, the Wraith Prism RGB LED will do the job just fine.

  • <I would advise, do not OC with the above stock cooler. It's not needed anyway.>
