Choosing an optical drive

What should I look for in an optical drive? I'll be using it for watching movies and burning music.

Decide if you want DVD or BlueRay. About $20 for a dvd burner and $50-60 for a blue ray burner.

They are usually OEM drives that do not come with software or screws but you can get those easy enough. Your case might even be screwless with slide rails.

LG is a good brand for them but again, they are mostly the same and a lot are just re-branding the same guts.
