My old rig, which you can see in the completed builds section of my profile is getting a little old. That, combined with my desire to go 1440p 144hz, makes me want to upgrade. Here's the question though: Do I wait for AMD's 7nm architectures to drop, or do I buy now? Thoughts? Questions? Answers?

For CPU or GPU?

For CPUs the dream would be to finally get rid of the voltage wall to get pass 4.2ghz or so since games prefer clocks over cores. Not just shoving more cores and being more efficient

GPUs on 7nm would hopefully compete with Nvidia, since Turing has no budget cards and pascal is aging

more for CPUs. I'll edit that in. I also might want to go blue though, mainly because I plan to edit on Premiere Pro CC and I have heard that intel is better optimized.
