Hi All I'm new here and built my first PC and am having issues hoping for some ideas on what is the cause. The issue is my PC will just randomly keep freezing/locking up doesnt matter if i have a game open or nothing at all opened it still does it randomly around 5-10 minutes I cant figure out if its a GPU issue CPU or Windows issue. Also when gaming I feel like I'm not getting near the FPS i should with my build so wonder if it is a bad GPU. Anyway here is the build below I am very frustrated as to the money i spent and all the time into this I want this thing to be running correctly. Also everything is installed correctly from what I can tell and all updated drivers and Bios etc (10 year IT background). Any help would be great.

Windows 10 Pro Asus Rog Maximus XI Hero Wifi Mobo Intel i9 9900k Kraken x72 Cooler EVGA 2080 TI XC Ultra G.Skill TridentZ RGB 16GB 3600Mhz Samsung 960 EVO M.2 NZXT E850w Full Modular Power supply Gold Certified

are all your drivers installed and up to date?

Can you go to the idle desktop and use a program like Aida64 to get a temperature reading? This seems like it is a temperature issue. If the CPU gets too hot it can shut the system down to preserve itself. If the GPU gets too hot, it will throttle itself down (decrease performance) so it can try to cool off. What case do you have and how many fans do you have?

From what I can tell the temps all appear to be pretty normal. What case do you have and how many fans? What is your fan curve like? Can you post any pictures?

I have the NZXT H700i case I am running 3 120m pull fans in the front 3 120m fans on top of the Kraken Rad that is top mounted on the case and 1 140m rear fan to blow it out. Seems pretty standard for this case I dont think its a temp issue as the CPU doesnt seem to go above around 40-45c temp not sure about the GPU though i can try the aida64 to grab temps.

Is that considered to be high?

It being a 9900k I'm not sure but I wouldn't be happy if it was mine. Get Aida64 or HWmonitor as suggested and advise your load temps.
