Apologies if i have asked the question in the wrong forum as the question is BIOS, Windows and SSD related and I wasn't sure which forum would be best

In 2019 with the current Z390 motherboards, does the BEST ANSWER given in this link still apply to get the NVME drive up and running? http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-3460538/nvme-installation-asus-z270f-rog-strix.html

Or is it simpler now with plug and play?

Way simpler. My Z390 board recognized it right away. No issues.
