Guys, I have CPU: i7700K,
Motherboard: Z270 Strix motherboard,
GPU: GTX 1070 STRIX
RAM:32 GB DDR4 3000 MHZ Ram in a huge Acer Predator 3 case.

I was thinking is it worth switching to : B450 motherboard RTX 2060 (2 cooler) AMD 2600 cpu keep 32 GB ram. + small case like GOLDEN FIELD N-2S PC Case ITX Computer: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075J9T9BL/ref=ox_sc_act_title_6?smid=A34Q09463C3RUH&psc=1 or Fractal Design Node 304 Mini-ITX Hybrid Computer Case FD-CA-NODE-304-BL

My friend wants to buy from me my 7700k, Z270 + GTX 1070 + case for 650 USD.

Appreciate your suggestions.

If you don't have the need to switch, I wouldn't switch. I've always been telling people to get more cores/threads for longevity purposes, but that's because they're building new. If you already have it, the 7700K is just too recent to replace in my opinion and going to a 2600 isn't going to be an improvement per se. Yes, the 2600 has two more cores and four more threads, but it's also a slower CPU on a per core basis. So if you don't have the need for the two extra cores and four extra threads, I would not switch.

You should be fine to keep your current hardware for the time being.

  • Strix 1070 used is worth about $300.

  • 7700k used is work about $300.

  • Strix Z270 is worth about $100.

Seems like your friend's getting a pretty good deal
