I was wondering if I could use a tv as a monitor and if that is a good idea? I'm open to all opinions Also people are saying that you need 3 monitor but i wanted to do a dual monitor setup. Would that work for gaming?

TVs can work as monitors, but whether or not that's a good idea depends on the TV. A 1080p, 60Hz TV would be a pretty good candidate.

You can't game across two monitors - not pleasantly, at least. The center of your camera would be in the bezels of your screens.
