PSU: EVGA 450 watt BT (45$-20$ after sale) Not a hard choice. Enough to power the components and has nice black cables. Caught it on sale for 20$, and for that price it just can't be beat.
Average PSU. It works well and is quiet. I recommend it for anyone looking for a budget PSU with black cables.
Great, except for the seating issue.
Of course it is not modular, of course it is bronze series, and of course it is not too reliable. It seems it is handling the system weight quite well so far, and truly it was a steal at $9.99 after mail-in-rebates.
NOICE power supploi, stable af. Just wish it would ditch those unnecessary Molex plugs
PSU OVERKILL! For a while I thought the connection between the power cable and PSU was a little loose, turned out that you have to give it a pretty good push to get it in all the way the first time! LOL! Silly me! :)
Update: I noticed a little bit of coil whine coming from my GPU and upon further investigation I noticed the coin whine coming from this psu, weird because I am only running the psu at half the rated power. Pretty faint. Probably just got an oddball.
Cheap, 80+ Bronze, 450 Watt, £38.99. Sold.
No problems so far, works great, very quiet. A definite recommend for budget builds.
No complaints; the power supply is humming along and doing great so far.
I think my power supply is actually the EVGA 450B but I couldn't find it on the page. Power supply has been great so far and I haven't had any issues. The cables themselves are medusa-like and the rainbow colors are pretty hideous. But for $17 after rebate, I can't complain or dock stars.
