Lotsa features for the price. Suits my needs just fine.
As mentioned in the build description, this was actually an accidental upgrade over the original one in my build. I'd been recommended the Gigabyte B250M-D2V on the forums but on Amazon I accidentally ordered this one. Which seems to be very similar but with 4 RAM slots and a few other things like additional SATA connections.
Board is really solid and nicely made, obviously everything is very tightly packed in on the Micro board which was a little challenging during the build however it booted up with no problems at all after I re-seated the GPU.
This B250 motherboard is especially great for $80. However, the orange LED backlight drives me crazy! If anyone knows how to change the LED color on Gigabyte motherboards, please let me know.
Lots of great features for the price, but a couple key things hold it back from being a perfect board. For one thing, it comes with 2 Conventional PCI slots, which make little sense in a board release in 2017. I would have vastly preferred PCIe X1 instead, which would've been totally doable given that the X16's can split lanes. The other star off is for the terrible BIOS. The layout and UI was very lackluster, and the fact that I was not able to change the boot order is absolutely unacceptable. The only thing keeping me from taking more stars off is the potential that it was just my stupidity that caused this issue.
Good motherboard, not to expensive. Only downside is the brown-ish color.
The "Gigabyte system information viewer" to monitor and control fans doesn't work on my pc so i have to use the "smart fan settings" in the bios.
