    An Honest review.

If you would like to hear the pros and cons scroll on down for are more indepth review of the case read on.

I chose this case for a number of reasons, it's aesthetically pleasing the tempered glass adds a really nice touch paired with aluminium side panels. Its also unique, its orientation in the upright position really gives this case presence in the room though not an overwhelming one whilst maintain a small footprint wether it lays beneath your home theatre system or standing guard on your favourite desk.

This being said the beauty of the Shift does come at a cost, Those being heat management whilst I can now achieve good gpu temps after adjusting fan profiles it will require additional fans and or replacement of the stock Phanteks 140mm fan, while not bad it just doesn't have the rated airflow to dump the hot air out of the case.

Cable management was challenging to say the least and I'm a bit obsessive when it comes to keeping things need and tidy, Stay clear of SFX-L units if you can while they are not impossible to install its a damb tight squeeze.

The only real thing that provided trouble was a slightly warped GPU bracket making it rather hellish to get my gpu to align correctly with the screw mounts so dinging a star for that one, also the Phanteks sticker on the case is rather trashy though easily solved.

PROS - Unique design - Aesthetically pleasing beautiful case - Build quality is excellent for price range - Many modification possibilities (I hope to fit a hard lined loop in this system)

CONS -Heat management -Incompatibility with some corsair sfx psu's -Difficulty installing SFX-L psu

Cable management is neutral for me whilst it was challenging to route everything the way I wanted I achieved the look I was after this is just the reality of sff systems.

Hope you enjoyed the review I recommend this case if you are strong willed and determined you will have the case of your dreams.

    Cheers

Its a stunning case. I love everything about it! Its minimal, doesn't occupy a lot of desk space, the included accessories box, and the 140mm fan are really appreciated. Be careful with PSU that you choose. The chassis may interfere with the PSU power button. I highly recommend going for a SFX NON-L PSU for this case. I would have loved to see a headphone port next to the USB 3 ports on the case.

Absolutely beautiful case. You definitely have to plan around it, otherwise you end up in a mess like I did. However, it's an SFF case with support for full length video cards, AIO's and 3.5" drive. What more could you want.

A fun and unique case to build with. Phanteks did a great job on making this case as user friendly as possible. First off, the manual is very useful, color printed and clear instructions on how to get around this case. Every air vent has dust filters which is a big+!

Looks great and easy to build in (2nd ever case I built in). Ditched the Phanteks riser cable because if the negative reviews and bought a Gen 3.0 riser for the Shift on AliExpress that took 22 days to arrive. Looks better and works like a charm.

Only wish the back panel on the case had a design or something to hide peripheral wires.

Luckily for me I have small fingers. This was a challenge for me as it was my first build. Several YouTube videos later and I figured it out. Beautiful design. May not be best for efficient cooling. But Man what a conversation starter.

I love the look, as most people do. This case is a true PITA to work with. If you plan carefully and manage your wiring appropriately you will end up with a GEM of a system.

Best looking Mini ITX case of this year, it’s absolutely gorgeous. Cable management it’s a headache instead, Cablemod cables are highly recommended since the included ones with the PSU are too stiff to route them around easily. I just order a set for this. Make sure you make a good cable management plan BEFORE you start to build it up, or you will have to deal later with multiple step backwards as you go. Included 140mm fan so far is doing it’s job pulling the hot air out of the case, but I intend to change it for a Noctua NF - F12 Industrial that i got sitting around.

All components are super tight on this case, including tha cables coming out of the IO shield (specially the DVI And USB cables) won’t allow to close top door without a hard press on it. Don’t know if there are 90 degrees cables for this, or at least a USB multiHUB long cable would be a great idea.

Worst thing about it was he riser cable for the video card. At first I believe it was a video card issue, but then I look at forums and found it wasn’t an uncommon problem. I was getting 70 FPS on League of Legends, when I was hopping for 150+. Also, PC stopped and restarted on safe mode when loading complex graphics on web browser or videos on Youtube. Problem was solve by getting down the speed of PCI Express Bus to Gen II, at the cost of decreasing even more the frame rate. Test bench of components on other system without the riser cable was normal so, there’s only one thing to blame here. Bad thing for a case at this price range, and for me a deal breaker, because I can’t take the juice i want from my brand new PC

Case looks good, but is very compact even for ITX. Will make you work for it. Wish there was a little more in the way of Cable management tie downs. Overall, I love the tempered glass look
