so far so good after an initial hitch after install. used D.D.U get rid of my rx 480s drivers and then installed nvidia drivers, launched a game and... crash. had to reset a few games and settings manually to complete the switch apparently. after that... all is mostly* good

*my lcd tv (for movie watching) needs to have its overscan setting turned on then off again every time i boot the pc or the image overscales for some reason and cuts off most of the edges all around the image, cannot find a permanent fix other than resetting overscan in the tv menu every boot. i assume it is nvidia driver communication related issue. especially considering my last nvidia card (gtx 660 and even a 8600gts using dvi before that) did the same thing years ago with a similar tvs from different brands regardless of connector used and no amd cards i ever used did this except the rx 480 on rare occasions when it started failing, and only when the system would power down but kept all the lights and fans on (this particular power issue stopped when i switched to the 1660). submitted a ticket describing the issue and how it is ongoing with all tvs i have used on all of the nvidia cards i have had, and was advised to not use a tv. uhhh F right off there, nvidia. try fixing your drivers. -1 for the tv issue, -1 for the "solution" from nvidia "support"
