Man GPUs are running high these days. So much market inflation its not even funny. This is a great value card in its range. Destroys most games with ultra settings at 1080 and 1440.

This has to be one of the sexiest graphics card. I love the black and red that MSI use on their cooler. It looks really good with the black case and white fans. The cooler is very quiet and the fans don't spin on idle which makes the build very silent.

-The MSI 1060 6gb have great perf all around! I can play any recent game at 60+fps @ 1080p. The msi logo on the card is RGB too. didn't know that when I bought it!

Like the graphics card... does everything I need it to and then some... I just dont like the color combo. I've more or less made it work but my real reason for purchasing it was the significant black friday discount. I held off purchasing the obvious matching Asus Dual model mostly because it did not come with a backplate and also was not able to reach the frequencies that this card is able to. Then there's also cooling. The twin Frozr cooler from MSI is incredible and in my opinion the best gpu air cooler on the market. Full load on its max setting (1954 MHz) the card stays around 50 degrees celcius running at 50% fan or lower. I dont use the Zero fan tech as I find it stupid and wasteful not to use fans that are there.

After a couple months of owning it and several unsuccessful attempts to sell it, I decided to try modding the red portions via some white plasti-dip and white paint. I'm not pleased with the outcome and will be doing it again, although I was able to get an interesting (albeit accidental) outcome with the red clear plastic portions. The small red accents on the right side of the card are NOT removable like they were on the GTX 9 series cards so I was left with deciding between hand painting or trying to tape off around them. Neither worked well. My results ended up looking like icicles which I think is not bad. Not great but not horrible. Basically, Plasti-dip is a HORRIBLE product. Every attempt I've ever made to use it on any surface (computer and otherwise) has failed miserably. It simply does not adhere properly and does not give a smooth crisp result like good ole-fashioned spray-paint does. So... if you absolutely want a white accented GPU and were considering modding any of the MSI Gaming X pascal cards, I would suggest getting a different GPU like the Galax cards or the Asus Dual and adding a custom back-plate. Please have a look at the pictures (which are towards the end of the list) and let me know what you think in the comments. Brutal honesty is perfectly ok and I wont be offended.

A red and black build would not be complete without an MSI card- so here it is. Only looking to game at 1080p (144hz of course, do not despair).

AWSOME CARD! Lokks and feels very well and havent had any problems running anything. Barley sags( it is kind of heavy) and runs very cool. Perfect for 1080p gaming.

The most important piece of Scarlet. I love this card aesthetics-wise and performance-wise. The fans are absolutely silent and only spin near 60° C. Under load with the fans on I haven't seen the temps rise past 64° C. It has the performance of a GTX 980 for half the price. Would highly recommend.

Runs all the games I play at full settings with no problems, never seems to go above 65C even under full load. I've tried OCing it and haven't gotten much better than stock performance, but the thing is damn fast. My boosts up to about 1960 MHz without any overclock on it, which is pretty impressive. Nice and quiet as well.

It is pretty T H I C C though. I would probably opt for a smaller card with similar capability if I had the option. It looks awesome and beefy, but you can't fit it in every case out there.

    from completed build Myk's Manta

120 FPS in Overwatch on Epic settings at 1080p. That's really more than I need :).

Doesn't run too hot either, seems to hover around 60-70 C during gaming and around 30 C idle.

The fans spin up at about 60 C... I think? I can't really tell because they're pretty much silent. Very pleased with the cooling performance overall, obviously, especially after reading nightmare stories about GPU overheating in smaller cases.

I should also note that there's absolutely no sag in any direction whatsoever (thanks to the backplate?), even if it might appear so in the photos.
