Good price and still working fine, not exactly silent and does take a few seconds to spin up when I need to access it on the odd occasion. Will do until larger SSD's become cheaper.
I know some people have issues with Seagate drives failing on them, but I've used several Seagate drives in OEM machines for many years, including one that's almost 10 years old, and I have never had one fail on me. Good performance and haven't had any issues with this drive.
Now, I'm a bit squirrelly around this because reviews abound of the drive failing or being DOA. I hope that the warranty stands up if ever that does happen, but I might switch to WD if it turns out that this drive is as unreliable as people say.
