from completed build Meshify Mini C for all round fun
More than required really, as a 750w would have sufficed but a bit more headroom for any future upgrades. Cables are pretty stiff and the 24 pin one in particular could be a little easier to work with in my opinion, but it gets the job done and the silent fan profile helps keep the overall noise down.

Overkill at 850W for this build, but when it comes to the PSU, good brand and lots of wattage is a must (better safe than sorry). Fully modular , 80 plus gold certified and comes from Corsair, think that's all we need. Easy cable management and lots of spare cables.

from completed build Zrobb 2.0
Upgraded my CX650M unit to the RMx series because I wanted to swap the stock cables for custom sleeved cables. Didn't want to go with extensions as I plan to add a tempered glass side panel to the back side of the case as well. Went with 850W because I wanted the psu to feel like a substantial upgrade and it was only 10 bucks less for the 750 and 5 less for the 650W versions so I figured why not. PSU fan doesn't even kick in unless I'm playing demanding games.

from completed build 4K Video Editing and Casual Gaming PC (First Build)
850 W power supply is a overkill for this build. A 650 W or even a 550 W power supply would have been just fine, but I went ahead and bought this anyway to future-proof my PC for any future upgrades. It is fully modular which is good for cable management and as with any corsair RMx series power supply it's very quiet.

This is a big PSU. On second thought, I wish I had erred on the side of less futureproofing and smaller PSU.
