I received a perfect monitor. Minimal bleed, no dead/bright/stuck pixels, and the 100hz mode worked perfectly. If you can afford it, and aren't an uber competitive FPS gamer who might prefer a 144hz or even the 200+hz super quick 24 or 27 inch monitors , this is the best monitor out there.

After months of waiting, I was finally able to get my hands on an Acer Predator X34 monitor. This is the first ultra-wide display with g-sync, running 100hz on a curved, 34" 3440x1440 screen. If you're not an e-sports athlete or hardcore fps gamer, then the miniscule differences between 100hz g-sync and 144hz (or even 200hz) will go unnoticed. With software like FlawlessWidescreen an HxD, almost EVERY game in my library can take full advantage of the 21:9 aspect ratio. It's simply amazing.

Amazing! Overclockable to 100Hz. Supported natively in Windows 10. The color accuracy and sharpness is absolutely stunning.

Notes: Use a displayport cable to overclock and get the full benefits. OC is disabled when using HDMI and due to HDMI limitations, you will only get 50Hz maximum using HDMI

You can use a mini-displayport to displayport cable to connect your mac to this display. That's what I did and I am able to get native 3440x1440 resolution in Mac OSX (El Capitan). You are still limited to 60Hz because that's the max that Macbook Pro (retina) can output.

The on screen display on the monitor is total garbage! It WILL take you a while to get used to the menus. The good news is that once you set it, you can forget it so the OSD menus are not a deal breaker. One suggestion (strongly advised): increase the OSD timeout menu to something like 15 seconds so that you can fumble around for the right buttons.

No dead pixels or bleeding issues. There is IPS glow but that is expected and only viewable on dark backgrounds.

Absolutely Gorgeous display! Ran Unigine benchmarks and the g-sync really got its chance to flex its muscles. Also a great monitor for video editing, I could see myself wall mounting one of these and using it as a secondary monitor so i can have my video timeline all spread out. just nice to have a lot of pixels to work with.

I love this monitor! Though it can be a pain to go in and set everything up to run at the new 21:9 aspect, but it's totally worth that little bit of hassle! The 100hz refresh rate makes a noticeable difference compared to 60hz when playing games. Can't say for 144hz monitors as I have yet to see one up close. I believe that Acer has everything fleshed out with all the problems that plague this monitor, as I have no issues with it at all so far. There is a fair amount of BLB, and IPS glow in the corners. Since I never really noticed it before I don't take issue with it, you can only really see it when everything is black. I don't think I need to tweak it anymore than lowering the brightness. Great monitor, but I still don't think its quite worth the $1300 price tag, that's it's only con to me.

3440x1440 is on another level: For productivity, there is NO going back to any resolution apart from 3440x1440 for me. 21:9 aspect ratio is mind boggling, and in my opinion, is better than a single 4K monitor.

Port Orientation: Acer nailed. Both the DisplayPort and HDMI ports are easily accessible, where you do not have to get under the monitor to plug them in at a 90-degree angle.

Productivity Nuts Will Love It: 3440x1440 is a huge upgrade to say two 1080p monitors. I'll say this about every single UltraWide display - 3440x1440 is leaps and bounds ahead. The shift from 1080p or even 1440p is quite noticeable, and not just for gaming - productivity is just great at 3440x1440.

100Hz! G-Sync!: The jump to 100Hz is an absolute game changer. Add NVIDIA's G-Sync technology into the mix and you have the best UltraWide gaming display, when I frist loaded Witcher I was honestly speechless.

Aesthetics - It has pinash! The Predator logo and the red and black styling looks menacing. The Predator X34 is a mean looking monitor.

Absolutely glorious. Seriously good toy.
The first one I bought had a single dead pixel, which was unacceptable for the price. Second time was the charm! Gaming w/ gsync at 3440x1440 and 100hz is delightful!

I got real lucky with this monitor, from all the problems people were having i was thinking i might have a RMA. But other then slight BLB its perfect in every way.

As of yesterday, October 24, I went to Microcenter and purchased the Acer x34 monitor. I was extremely uneasy about the price, but now that it is hooked up and I have all my games working for it, IT IS PHENOMENAL. The one I received has very minimal backlight bleed and IPS glow with zero dead pixels. Since I had a dual monitor setup before, I really wanted something with a lot of screen space. This left me with two options: Go dual 1440p monitors OR go a single ultrawide monitor. I am soooo glad I went with ultrawide since I can utilize the full screen space when I am web browsing AND for full-screen gaming. With the dual monitor setup I would only be using the single screen for gaming and wasting the second monitor. Overall, the price was steep but it was completely worth it. With this final piece I can happily bask in the final version of this build!

Pros: Awesome Picture quality, 100Hz is really nice, Gsync is a nice touch, Stand is solid (you can knock someone out with it or worse)

Cons: The price, The buttons, The menu for the adjustments, Stand size

If you can get it cheaper than the 1600 CDN do it, either way really really nice monitor
