Nice looking board with a great feature set. Aura Sync was a must to get that nice unified RGB control. I also just love Asus boards! They have never failed me yet!

Beautiful mobo with all the options I was looking for. Works like a champ. I made use of the RGB header to do some nifty desk lighting too!

Excellent board with good features and a pair of M2 slots and aura sync to control RGB lighting. Just wish it had more temperature sensor headers and fan headers as well as a way to turn off the motherboards RGB when shutdown.

Good color neutral look. Lots of features. RGB header. Asus again thinking a bit too far ahead. They moved the usb 3.0 header to a terrible bottom position and in its place put the hot new usb 3.1 header. The issue is almost no cases use that or will be using that for a while. Also, from what I can tell there's no simple usb 3.0 to 3.1 header adapters.
Audio quality is also pretty bad. Their maximus line actually has pretty good DACs in them, but these do not. Luckily I got my external dac finally for the very purpose of not having to rely on motherboard onboard audio anymore.

Not much to say. Good looking board, no issues. Nice bios. Could use one additional fan header though and a IO shield considering the price.

Runs perfectly fine. The neutral colours of the motherboard is a definite 10/10 from me.

bios is super easy, a lot of internal connectors, it has RGB, -1 star cause of the lack of USB-C

It still blows me away how so little compromise can be had with a mATX motherboard. This is hands down the best, easiest and straightforward mobo I have had the pleasure of working with.
It literally has everything I need Its got great OC potential, its got 4 slots of RAM, I have the option to SLI, it has good build in AC wifi, and gigabit ethernet port, its got a 10GB/s USB port on the back, its got just the right amount of PWM and RGB headers, its got decent onboard audio and an extra USB 3.1 Gen 2 header just for laughs.
It somehow has two freaking M.2 slots for some genius reason. Yeah, two M.2 slots on an mATX form factor. I am just going to leave it at that.
If you are considering an mATX build, then this mobo should be at the top of your very short list of options.

-- Asus AI suite 3 software -> at the first look the frontend looks nice but when you go in deep you will be disappointed -> e.g. the Fan Xpert 4 software looses the fan setup from time to time -> take a look at the Asus forum and you'll see that there are many troubles reported with that bad software
-- Asus sonic studio 3 software for on board sound solution -> when using the optical S/PDIF connector the sonic device routing software feature will not work -> when using the HDMI connector my 5.1 AVR will be dedected correctly as 5.1 device but sonic studio 3 effects can not be used => Now I have uninstalled corresponding useless Asus software
=> I'm deeply disappointed by the Asus AI suite & Sonic Studio software. I was dazzled by the Asus marketing / product website ...
Update Feb 2018:
Asus Fan Xpert 4 software still looses fan settings from time to time ... the last / newest Asus Ai Suite 3.00.13 update hasn't fixed this problem ... no bugfix since the last 12 months ... Asus Fan Xpert 4 software = scrap.

I was looking for a Motherboard that would allow me to overclock my 7700k and support SLI in an mATX form factor. I also needed connectivity like Bluetooth, WLAN, USB type C, M.2/NVME, USB2.0,USB3.0 ... After some Searching I found all that with the Strix z270g and ist defently gona stay in my build for a long time.
