from completed build cursed abomination
was a decent chip back in 2017-2020, but nowadays doesn't hold up too well because of the lack of hyperthreading
from completed build LSG "ASRock Vulcan" Build
It's an okay quad core, but it really lacks the power to keep up with the NVIDIA cards of its generation and is best suited to something like a GTX 970.
from completed build LSG "SPEC-DELTA RGB" Build
A very solid CPU for the generation. Very useable in a casual gaming build. Works very well with a GTX 970.
from completed build Partial upgrade from my first build.
Bought in mid 2017. It was a great price to performance CPU back then as games then didn't require a lot of cores. Doesn't hold up well in 2020/2021 if you plan on playing AAA games. It was a great choice for those looking to build a mid range PC.
from completed build My current pc :(
Fine CPU, previous owner had overclocks up to 4.5 GHz. performs well for gaming/school.
from completed build RE:Build Revisited
Outdated by today's standards, but I've had this for going on three years now and it still does everything I ask of it. Overclocked to 4.5 GHz without any issues. I will jump on the Ryzen train eventually I'm sure but for now this works.
from completed build My First PC Build @ (4.7GHz): Cayde 6 Build
Very happy still going strong with this 4c/4t, all core OC to 4.9Ghz with temps at about 65C with AIO cooler, will be looking to upgrade to 8700K or 9700K eventually tho.
