The first i7 to be released on the Z170 chipset range works great, managed to overclock to 4.5ghz @1.3v 100% Stable.

Very happy with the amazing performance of the 6700K. I consider this a time-saver as my i3 before would take quite long to convert a bunch of videos, whereas this thing swiftly breezes through those tasks. As mentioned before, I've overclocked the CPU to 4.6GHz, although I would have liked a better result, temps are fine and the extra performance is a bonus! Hopefully the extra cash was worth it for this thing!

Nothing to say. Best Processor out!

This CPU is quick. Really quick. Probably a bit more than I needed, but I wanted to stick with i7s because I do more than just play video games.

Not much to say here... may have been a bit overkill, but it fit into my budget and I do use some apps that can take advantage of the hyper-threading.

Fast and Hot (relatively). Not a 5Ghz on air/liquid out-of-box unit as hyped

jon.flynn 41 points 24 months ago

Very fast! This CPU is extremely powerful. Coming from an i7 2.9Ghz iMac - it was like walking and then being given a Ferrari on the autobahn... Very happy with the stability, the temps both idle and under load.

Originally, I was going for 4690k, then I waited for skylake 6600k and the last moment, I decided to go for the 6700k for the thread because I'll be using this computer for photo editing, and other graphical tasks.

It has a few driver cash related to its HD530.

Incremental improvement over the 4790k, but works as intended. Thanks Intel. FYI: I have not attempted to overclock this yet.
