from completed build Fractal Design Define S (Retired)
I believe a case is the most important part in any build because you see it all the time and it ties everything together. Therefore, I don't really spare any expense when it comes to cases, but luckily this one was really cheap. There are some better cases out there that I myself probably like better (Lian Li PC-08), but they all come with too many downsides. The Define S really has no draw-backs. I believe this case is the best bang-for-buck water cooling case out there right now. It is compact enough, yet you can fit multiple radiators, pumps, reservoirs etc. I don't think there is another case out there that meets my requirements as this one does.

Pretty nice case all around. I had buyers remorse the last 4 years with my CoolerMaster HAF912 due to unaesthetic inside and lack of "clean" cable management possibilities.
This one was good enough for a budget with a $69.99 sale price. Window is nice. Cable management is great. Case is roomy and flexible for most user's needs. I love it. I'd recommend it.

from completed build 2016 - Black, White, and Red Build Watercool Update
This is the best case I have ever used so far.
I love that the drive slots are located in the back (2 slots for SSDs and 3 for HDs). I have no use for a 5.25 bay drive, so having rails for radiator/pump support is very awesome. The window is a great size but the plastic is easily scratched. The only major issue I have is with the moduvent system. I wish they would have given a magnetic dust filter instead at the top. The cable management is made very easy with velcro straps in the back.

I freaking love this case! So much room for activities! I was never planning on adding and optical drive, and this case has lots of room for my massive GPU size. The cable management on the back made life so much easier. Plus is has sound dampening, and I can't really hear it at all with my headphones on. Highly recommended!

This is a pretty large case, which kinda sucks sitting on my desk, but I've really been wanting to get into watercooling and this case will provide that opportunity for me. I wish I had waited about a week though since it dropped in price.
Docking a star for the large footprint. I would've preferred something taller and not as long.

Cannot get enough of this case in my opinion the best mid tower on the market.

from completed build Define S Air Cooling build
Plenty of space, rubber grommets in all the right places, hard drives out of the way mean there's nothing obstructing the airflow you need for your GPU/CPU. There's also plenty of space for watercooling and more than enough space for air cooling with room for 8 140mm fans. Plenty of clearance space for large CPU cooling towers too.
The screen scratches extremely easy and I do wish there were more grommets at the top or that the sole grommet at the top was a bite wider.

This is my fifth case, and arguably the best. It's honestly neck-and-neck with the Phanteks Enthoo Pro. It offers a gorgeous enclosure that's simple yet sophisticated, excellent air flow, great water cooling support, plenty of room for cable management, and it supports my lengthy GPU. Honestly the best case on the market at this price point.

The Define S from Fractal Design is a joy to build in. It's spacious, has plenty of radiator space for my AIO, and has ample airflow. I love that the drives mount in the back, and it leaves plenty of space to expand my system in the future. The construction is sturdy and high quality, and the dust filters are a life-saver.
