May i know what the sizes of the radiators are? I'm hoping to build a custom loop in the evolv atx tg with dual 30mm thick 360 rads on the top and front.

The GTX 1080 will fair just fine for 4k 60fps as long as you are turning the settings to high and very high and not maxed out on the most demanding games. Don't take my word for it and check out benchmarks online. lol what am I saying

I wish AMD would introduce powerful cards to keep competition in the market, but sadly all those people who have bought the new Pascal cards probably won't buy them.

Guys what your opinions are on the side logo on the card? I'm not sure if I like it even though I have always liked EVGA products.

Fractal design or EKWB Vardar fans. Both perform great and are super, super quiet. I literally couldn't hear them ramp up until 1500ish rpm 3-4 feet away.

4k editing on a hard drive?! Are you using a RAID Array? If not, I suggest u get an SSD for your video editing needs. You'll immediately notice the vast difference. My Samsung 950 pro literally does more than 2 gigabytes per second in benchmarks.

I suggest troubleshooting ur PC by removing some parts and starting with the basic system, then gradually add more parts onto it or run stress tests and check system utilization, and see if the problem is Linux not able to fully utilize your system.

But for benchmarking purposes they should've at least tried to turn off v-sync, so we get an ides of how they run, not to mention, that when running high end configurations they should use higher resolutions to max out the cards and elim8mate bottlenecks.

ikr, same for my 6700k. I waited 2 months and the priced dropped, found a mobo-cpu deal and jumped for it, saved like 90 bucks in total

Comment reply on CDGpup007's Completed Build: My Almost VR Ready Build

  • 47 months ago
  • 1 point

Definetly a bottleneck IMO, they are testing at too low of a resolution to have the cards maxed out, and thats probably why 2 way sli/crossfire didn't do much on performance gains. also, I suspect the game is locked to 60 fps :{

I hope so, as I'm sure if Vega keeps up with Pascal, WE as consumers get a better product from both companies at the end.
