BIOS is up to date and I have enabled and disabled XMP. No change.
Yes, but the RAM I bought is supposed to run at 3200mhz
Ok, that is something I forgot to mention. My bad. My work is providing me with 2 4k monitors and I for got I had my old monitors in that parts list.
Took 20 minutes for me to swap out my old one for this. Simple setup and the LED Lighting is legit!
Here is the link to the Motherboard. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/VVZ2FT/asus-prime-z270-ar-atx-lga1151-motherboard-prime-z270-ar
I'm going out right now to get the ASUS Prime Z270 - AR Motherboard. It meets all my requirements and is only $170 (USD) with tax. Which is about $225 CAD.
Not worth it. I ran into the same issue as I got the kaby lake and did a BIOS update. Worked fine except dual channel did not work and OC did not work on the Z170. Better to go with a Z270 and save the hassle.
That I do not know the answer too. So I don't think I can provide one.
Think I already found the one I want :)
Guess it's time to start browsing!
But that's also why upgrading would be convenient for me as I still need a motherboard for the second PC.
It has to be the CPU. It's the only thing I have changed. But yes I do as it will be going in the second build. CPU is only 8 months old.
That's why I come here first because the chances are that someone else has had a similar issue and has dealt with it. I agree that their Customer Support needs improving, but you shouldn't have any issues with the GPU. If you do and don't want to deal with Customer Support just return it for a new one.
That's what I asked the MSI Customer Support. He provided me with 2 beta BIOS updates. Neither worked. I also did reseat my RAM. Sigh.... Might just go buy a new Z270. Building a second PC anyways.
There is not much of a difference between the 2 GPUs. The only minor differences I see is that Asus has a slightly higher clock speed, 2 HDMI Ports vs 1, and it 'supposedly' consumes less power. Its really a matter of what you want the build to look like, cost of the GPU, Performance. Personal I like the design of the Asus one more.
Doesn't matter what brand it is or if it is aftermarket?
Sony made it harder to use the PS4 controller on PC without the official wireless adapter. You might just have to buy it. Sony is becoming more like Apple everyday and it is starting to bug me.
