Back when I finished this build there weren’t a lot of options for RGB. The tinted window is clear enough that you can see parts slightly but not all that well, lighting on the motherboard or ram/cpu cooler would help illuminate the case

The noise is near non-existent. Setting my head right next to the intake vents I just barely make out the fan noise. Once I move back into the chair I cannot hear anything.

Thanks! It sits around 58c, its surprisingly good considering the gap between the GPU and PSU. The two front fans I believe help it out the most.

Thank you! I don't find it has much if any effect on gaming performance. Probably in very demanding games I might notice it more but since it's my dad's computer I don't play anything supremely demanding. Yes those are EVGA's cable kit!

Honestly they are better than I thought they would be. Under load playing ATS at ultra settings at 1080p the GPU gets to about 58-60c, which is exactly when the fans turn on to cool down, IMO its perfect since the system is pretty much silent. Take a look at the ASUS GTX 1060 Turbo card. That one is black/white with a blower style cooler.

Thank You! And you're right it does add a degree or 2 on the GPU but since the PSU is fan side down it's pulling air from outside the case instead of directly from the GPU. IMO the one or two degree difference doesn't matter to me since the card and the entire PC for that matter runs very cool anyways :)

Thanks for the comment! The cable kit I purchased is no better/worse than the original cables that came with the PSU. The only difference is the cables are individually sleeved rather than bunched together in a single larger "sleeve" and of course they are all white instead of just black. It is a direct replacement kit from EVGA's website.

the case has its own female molex cable hooked up so all you would need to do is just plug it into your power supply.

I have a build in the works utilizing the same Nemesis 360 GTS rads. What are your temps like? Do you find any difference between the ML120's and the Riing fans such as cooling/noise?

HAHAHA... he is currently using an FX-8350 same mobo and same SSD only he has a R9 270x 2gb video card. So this old build would essentially be a partial match to his current system

This is brilliant! I agree completely with your parts choices. In your opinion do you believe the monitor is a good choice over a G-Sync type since we are running Nvidia in SLI?

Haha 1800 is a very nice budget for a build you can do a lot. My previous build was around 1400-1500 and it served me for 3 years. Thanks for the comment!

With my 980Ti's in SLI they're only using 16 pcie lanes for a 8x/8x GPU setup. I believe the 6700k has 20 pcie lanes available so I'm clear there. The SSD is just a SATA SSD not a pcie. The SATA SSDs don't use pcie lanes. You could if you wanted run a M.2 SSD or pcie SSD and 2 way SLI and you would then be using all 20 pcie lanes.

Hope this helps.
