I work in IT, love working on computers while cranking up some Zep.

I did have a really nice setup going, then winter decided it was time to freeze my water setup at night after we had lost power. Tubing burst, ice melted, electronics don't like water much. So I had to revert back to my old build.

My retired Ol' Reliable: AMD Phenom II X4 965, Raedon HD6850. This thing has never let me down in the 6-7 years I've owned it. But its time to get a new build. : )

My new current setup, Doc Holiday: Ohh hohoho, this thing is a monster. It handles whatever I can dish out at it, and then some. The i7-6700k is running at a stable 4.6G, and it doesn't even break a sweat, could try to go higher. The GTX 1080 is a beast. I've got it set at 2050 for overclock and the damn thing still wants more. It never breaks 70C during heavy game for hours on end (usually sits in the mid 50's maxed out graphics on Overwatch/Guild Wars 2). The only time it did is when I stress tested it, it hit 77C max (after 12 bloody hours). You might say the fans are overkill, nonsense, there is no such thing as overkill. I mean, there is a slight breeze in my room now, but it kinda feels nice haha. And this thing isn't even that loud! Then again, I almost always have a fan on in my room, but hey the more the merrier. I'm going to stick with air cooling for the most part just due to past experiences of losing an entire computer, and from what I can tell, it still runs pretty cool. I might slap on a Kraken X41 to the 1080, but for now, I like it how it is.
