And my response is even later, sorry. So the cooler has a bracket to screw in whichever fan you want. Just watch out, I had to change mine and use a tower cooler, as I needed a rear exhaust and the C1 takes up too much space. Good luck.
That is very strange, you should try talking to either Corsair or Asus, or both.
I simply set the XMP and had no problems with it.
Did you update your Bios?
They don't have red, and I don't want black and red.
I know what I have to do, I have to get pins and one of those special pliers and do it myself, it would be the cheapest way, and not that difficult I think, just the 24 pin, 8 pin and the pci-e has to be shorter, I don't really care about the Sata ones.
What I showed you is not an extension, that was the point.
But yes with the smaller SFX PSU you have there's more room to hide them.
Trying to find a way to get rid of the existence of the extensions in my build I came across this set of modular sleeved cables http://www.moddiy.com/products/Silverstone-Strider-Premium-Single-Sleeved-Modular-Cables-Set-%28White%29.html
They even have sell them individually.
Would you replace yours?
I'm still thinking about transforming mine, from extensions to regular cables.
You can place it without any problems, the M.2s are soo small they have no problem.
More pics! ;)
Me too, but I'll get a very good high CFM fan and bind it to the GPU temp!
Once I settle the cooler business that is.
With the Enermax fan it's pretty quiet.
Can't tell you about the stock configuration, but the included 140mm seemed quiet when I ran it by its self, off of the cooler.
I'll open it tomorrow, get a decent camera from work and try to do a good job of it!
:)) Yeah, didn't have time for the rest of the description today.
Did you manage to put both HDD and SSD on the floor? Right now my 2.5 HDD is on the floor and the SSD is stuck between PSU and front panel.
Think my choice of CPU cooler was a bad one (Cryorig C1), I wanted to see the LEDs from the fan, so a cooler parallel with the MB, but the cooler is very fat (wide) and can't access the inner floor drive mounting place (not even with my ultra thing 7 mm SSD), also the back fan is not mountable anymore.
The temperatures you are getting are pretty ok(any idea of room temperature), how loud is the GPU at 76?
My temps are, under load, ~ 68 C for CPU and ~ 88 C for GPU (Furmark, CPU + GPU), I'm thinking of going with a smaller CPU cooler and decent high airflow back fan, hope seeing a significant drop for the GPU, bringing it closer to your temps. (I'm not planning on overclocking my CPU, or at least not as much as you did)
This is mine https://de.pcpartpicker.com/b/RxzMnQ (the log is not finished)
I'll try to take some pics and show if mine comes out anywhere near as nice as yours.
Yeah, but then you'd have to cut the top for an ugly exhaust (IMO)
Why do you want it to be regular so much? I know writing would be upside down but you can't see any text anyway.
Yeah, but then you lose compatibility with longer then 170mm GPUs, like the one he has.
One of the ideas with the inverted mobo is that you can keep the PSU on the bottom and still have room for long GPUs up top. That's why Bitfenix went inverted with the Prodigy and Phenom Ms, imo.
Is that Plexi or is it glass?
I'm thinking about tempered glass, but I have to see how much it will be and see what i can do with my cables (I'll steal from your routing)!
Great build, almost exactly what I want! :D
