Thanks like your PC too
Thanks Blue theme PC are rare these days. That why i went blue. i like the old school factor.
It's for gaming only.
i know i cant change the pics of the build and cant create a new complete build
the components placement on my itx build is optimal. short tube route & 2 crossflow rad. temp are low even with low speed fan (1000 rpm +/-).
I had to gut the top panel and put mesh grill because it was heatsoaking.
I use 2 ssd stick together with 3m tape. but M.2 is great.
Forget HDD on a mini itx the pump is located down there and its full of cable cause i use extension for everyone of them. ideally you buy special short length cable (cablesmods, lutro custom etc. )
nzxt hue probably fit but its tight
here the one i used.
1.i'm pretty sure they ship in UK just check. Canadian currency is in the drain right now so i'm sure you can get hose radiator for dirt cheap at the moment 39.08 pound is over 80 Canadian dollar and those radiator are 55 Canadian dollars so
2.They are slimmer by 2-3 MM than the black ice
3. The inlet & outlet of the radiator are really important and they are opposite to the one i used.
3 . Plan your flow/tubing route carefully in a mini itx it's the most important thing you just don't want to have to return part are do stupid tubing route that look silly.
4. i'm not sure it's gonna fit due to the right side tickness your swiftech 240x pump and stuff you are using at the moment if i was using your 240x i would juste put a 120 (not crossflow) in the back and it's will be enough even for a 980ti.
5. Me it's a bit overkill. running fan at 800 Rpm with a slow pump speed for the less noise possible
6. lastly I had to gut the top pannel and put mesh because the computer was overheating due to the lack of airflow in the top and the fact that i dont have exhaust fan. i
7. if you have any question feel free to ask
the computer got stolen 1 year a go(by my stupid roommate probably ) check my new build
distilled water and mayhems pastel green
there is 2 fan on the front radiator pushing the air inside
The temperature at idle are 2-3 degree over room temp. with the fan a 800 rpm .
Thanks it's appreciated
I still got few upgrade for the build
Green and Black EK Logo to cover the asus gold Heatsink.
I will add 1 green sticker of some sort on the video card backplate and 1 on the side of the tower.
The top of the case will be modded to improve air flow (mnpctech mesh grill) .
I might add an exhaust fan.
I rarely play CS-GO. but hydro dipping seen right but how will the do that.
I will change (WASD) keycap for green one.
The zowie is the best mice i ever used.
there is 2 model windowed or not your choice
Led on the card are only located over the power connector (not really bright) i got 2 Darkside 30 cm (12 inch) led strip got it on Dazmode.com (canada) check it out
itx board only have 2 Ram slot so i can't tell your for sure check with people with atx board and this cooler for the fitment
your Mobo will be held in place by only 3 screws instead of 4. the top left is not accessible.
you will need to remove the top pannel or install the cpu power and fan headers before you sit the mobo in place.
Watercooling the whole built in few weeks
Only the parts i bought in the last 90 days before i got robbed (visa insurance) . In this case a gtx970 and a 240 gig ssd. i will sell the 970 and keep the SSD.
tinted windows specialist (car sticker shop)
i play game mostly (BF4,FARCRY 4, the CREW etc) and browse the web that's pretty much it. no fancy editing or work
150 $ with taxes
last pic just for you. Need a cleanup i know.
Sleeved cable in 2-3 week.
Graphic designer at a local specialist for tinted windows/sticker, i had my color and the 8 bit camo in mind, i send the picture of the case to the designer, he come up with the final pattern, the next day it was wrapped.
Took 1h to a Car specialist.
3M printed automotive Wrap, it's like a big sticker, clean surfaces, apply the wrap, apply heat (heatgun) and Voila !!!
I really like your build nice and clean big thumbs up
Thanks for the info and yes the next 280x will be a 2 slot card
ya this might be an option to and buy 2 Noctua fan to continue the color theme with the power supplies thanks
I know they are efficient but i always tough they were ugly as ....
I don't know if it will fit ????? the dh14 is huge
you got a pretty nice build too and 160 $ of game = great deal....
i didn't get any game with my 280X (i would been happy to at least received a never settle gold pack)
Watercooling if for top of the line product and the R9 280x is a great middle ground/ enthusiast product. Good Video card for Watercooling R9 290 R9 290x GTX 780 GTX 780Ti Titan. Watercooling is expensive more for pageant than anything else ... triple sli watercooled I7 3930k 10k setup(it's like tunning/ modding in any domain car's motorcycle etc) It's eye candy for sure but a prefer a good old clean (low maintenance) setup I7 4770k close loop cpu cooler /SLi or crossfire GPU / modular power supply good cable management /2 ssd a hdd / 3 monitor 60hz / mechanical keyboard and nice mouse ..... it's my take on it
it fit's OK like 1 inches from the panel fractal have some nice looking case for sure. Case is a important part of a setup often neglected. If you want a small mid atx the case is ok and really cheap but if you have intention of keeping it for the long run invest more money and buy a bigger case (silent with grommet etc)
my pleasure if you have any questions feel free to ask are you can get great information on guru3d.com oveclock3d.com linus tech tips forum youtube tomshardware.com do not hesitate to check multiple review after all you are spending your hard earn money on those components
I really like the card it's quite run 75 Celsius under full It's the TOP v2 (3 slot card) so i got 2 dvi and 4 display port and 1070 core 5000 memory 2x 8pin connector with backplate and the dcuII top (non v2)(2 slot card) 1070 core 6000 memory 1x6 + 1x8 pin connector 2 dvi but less display port (1 or 2) no backplate . gpu tweak is good for over-clocking your card and it come from the manufacturer so it's must be good for there product
I would recommend the DCUII TOP (non v2 or v2 if you have the place) and the Vapor X . the toxic is overrated and loud. i would buy a matrix over a toxic and finally the revision 2.o of the gigabyte (black pcb and true windforce cooler) or a the top of the line HIS would be acceptable
I don't want msi / xfx /club 3d
i really like the card it run perfectly and play bf4 and assassins creed 4 like a charm i don't know about skyrim but check people with 7970 ghz or r9 280x on youtube with skyrim it might help you the drivers for those card a evolving fast so some problems from 2 months ago like you are telling me could already be resolve
i edit the build and added a pic for you the last pic
first slot (top one) pci 16x
second slot pci ******
third slot (near psu) pci 4x
so i can put a another 2 slot r9 280x and run it 8x with the first
thanks you got a nice build too
I bought my GPU just before the bitcoin frenzy, 1 week later the price jump 30% is was the 280x or 770 but i have no intention of streaming (shadow play Geforce experience) and i play mostly battlefield 4 so i took a bet on AMD + Mantle we will see in 1-2 months if that pay off
