I understand. I work on a Law Enforcement salary. I have to get stuff when I can. Congats on the house. I will do a review on that monitor after I get it if you want to check back in a few weeks.

I absolutely love this build. With that sad, yes 8 GB is running just fine. Although, when gaming I have noticed this system uses most of the RAM. I do plan on adding another 8 GB as soon as possible.

I havent gotten the monitor yet. I will be ordering it within the next few weeks. I have heard nothing but good things about it though.

As far as the motherboard, it all depends on what series of processor you get. The new Kaby Lake processors need either the B270, H270 or Z270. If you get Skylake, you need B170, H170 or Z170. And then if you get a locked processor, there is no need to get a Z Series board. They are used mostly for overclocking. I chose the Asus ROG Strix H270 because is is basically the same as the Asus ROG Strix Z270 without the over clockability. And it is a great board. I was going to go with an entire Strix build but my budget wouldn't allow it right now.

The GPU I bought was the perfect choice for me (besides the GTX 1060 Strix). It was in the right price range, and performs extremely well. It will play most games at 1080p, at 60 fps. Sure there are some games that it will fall behind, but I knew that when I purchased it. I don't mind turning some settings down if I have to though. So far, I haven't had to though.

If you have anymore questions, let me know, I'll try to answer then the best I can. Good luck with your build.

Troll?? To my knowledge, the H270 is not an overclockable motherboard, and the i5-7500 is locked.
