A unlocked CPU (one that can be overclocked, usually marked with a 'k' at the end of the model num)

A overclocking Motherboard (You need a MOBO that can acctualy push more voltage into the CPU, and also the software that can change the clock on it too)

A decent cooler to handle a heat increase

Why did you chose an APU? my only guess is if you were planning to activate dual graphics, in which would nt make a difference based on the inequality of the APU and GPU, possibley less performace... If you destroyed the intergrated grapbics n the apu... you would get the athlon 860k. but looking on the price you're going at. get an intel i3 proccessor.

Minecraft (112 mods, 19 GPU intensive, with shaders) TF2 (When I turn 13 :( ) Kerbal Space Program (CPU Intensive) and SimCity 2015 (loves CPU)

Fact is i don't really game... No time.

I render on Unity and do schoolwork with stuff open...

I felt like i took good care of my $200 computer and it is showing age. AMD E2-6110, on-die R2, 4gb DDR3 L, 500 GB 5900 RPM... Worked fine with games on low no shaders.
