I would look up and compare the specs. I'm not seeing any issues but that's with a quick glance. I can tell you I had ZERO issues with my setup. Happy Building!!

I had zero issues from the go, I have a gallery of photos I took through out the whole build. The link is right before the comments but I'll paste it in here for you as well. https://imgur.com/a/j2fa7Pj

My first question has to be, which case did you go with? You said same cooler and mobo, but not the case. The dimensions of your case could be the issue.

Very nice build, I'm curious as to why you went with the Noctua cooler as it blocks so much of your great RBG setup.

Besides that it reminds me of my build: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/vBxG3C

Looks great, looking forward to the Mario Kart figurines! +1

Hey ZudzGuy,

23 seconds is my cold boot to windows. It was faster when I first put her together but I believe it has to do with many games and software being installed on the 960 and my 3TB HDD being pretty filled up.

Yeah, big fan of your build, was fun to read you description and find the comparison (aside, as you mentioned, from The Offer Up COP lol). The GPU was worth it and the story!

That is a fantastic idea. Yeah, I hadn't laid it out that much in my head yet but wow, I already feel a great relief in that idea.

Definitely doing it that way, Thanks again for the tip!

Hey jwilliscraft,

Nope. It all fit perfect. I was worried at first but it fit with out a single issue. You mentioned going with the same MOBO, RAM and Cooler... I researched this for my case ahead of time.

The one issue I'd be worried about is the dimensions for the case your looking at. Which case are you going with?

Comment reply on IrishPHX's Completed Build: Cardinal Fett

Hey Aventer, I'm glad to help in anyway. I needed some my self!

Firstly. Stay with the Kraken and H700i. You already know I love the x52, and that case is damn sweet bro.

Early on, I also wanted Cardinal Fett to be as uniform as possible, especially making everything ASUS AURA so there was a 100% sync when I RGB.

I'm not sure if you read my description (its long, I know), but if you did, you may notice that I decided I would not settle for anything but what I wanted and the best is what I wanted. That meant making sacrifices not in terms of settling but not 100% AURA. The RIING's and AER's would sync.. but it would not be the best, not by a long shot.

If I were in your shoes (I was), I'd go performance and look of the whole build over uniform. It might erk you at first but I can promise you this... you WILL get over that real quick when all is bought and built.

Here's another thing to look up Aventer,

https://www.corsair.com/uk/en//far-cry-5

That right there is just how ridiculous these fans look and get (minus flicker off boots). When I'm playing FC5, my keyboard ripples the american flag over to the 6 fans in order from left to right like the wind is coming from the left. It is incredible.

Again, I REALLY hate this flicker issue and just cant understand them not addressing it to a greater extent... but now that I type that... Its probably because they know these are quite literally the best fans out there right now and as I said before.. I'll deal with it, We'll all deal with it... they are that damn good!

That's a good move. I just can't get past the beauty of the LL's. I got them on sale thanks to this site since they are usually about 120 per set of three. I put up with the annoyance of the repair option off boots because...20 seconds later.. they are working and you forget because... they are that damn good looking man. The pics from my iPhone don't do it justice.

When you see the LL's vs the Aer RGB or the Riing... Its just not fair to compare. It's not apples and oranges. Its more like comparing a Ferrari to a Honda lawnmower.

Oh, and one more thing I forgot to mention in my description for the build and response.

The Kraken software (CAM) is a bit buggy similar to the LL fans, it can weird out after a boot. Not even remotely as bad/buggy as Corsairs CUE though. Where the CUE will go Little Seizures flicker style on you. CAM will reset its visuals to the Load circle style preset .

One would think.. Just go to the colors and set it how you like again... a pain.. yes... But do it... SOMETIMES the option to do so is straight up missing in the app.

All said and done... I'd still go Kraken on the 8700k everyday of this particular week.

GOOGLE SPOILER ALERT

I'm not about to tell you anything you probably haven't read about. I was thrown towards the x52 as the temp difference was minimal but it looked MUCH better. Yes i paid about $40 bucks more for it vs the Corsair but when I look over and see it... Worth it... When ppl come over and see it or see pics... Worth it... It does the job and it looks fantastic.

I was also worried for a bit about the pump failure issues but that seemed to be happening a year ago. If you dig deep, you'll notice a favorable ratio of those complaint dates being further out vs recent.

All said and done, it was $37.49. Ordered it on 5/11, had it on 5/14 which is through USPS over a weekend AND holiday (Moms Count!). Was pretty impressed with the speed and turn out of the bracket, hence why I keep singing they're praises.

Yo PC_BaSsEtT,

Depends on what your budget and wants are. Do you want the best cooling solution with best price per budget and how's your set up aesthetically?

Comment reply on IrishPHX's Completed Build: Cardinal Fett

  • 1 point

Thanks Matt, I appreciate that.

The x52 has done a pretty good job cooling for what I have going on. Noise level, Silent. Maybe it's due to my replacing the NZXT AER stock fans with the LL's, but I can't be sure.

I also had trouble deciding between the x52 and x62. My research told me, the bigger the radiator the better job it will do cooling. However the x62 is problematic in my Corsair Case since I wanted to top mount it only.

My thoughts would be the same in your Case (pun semi intended), If it will block your drive bays then go with the x52 as it does a fine job and you won't settle on functionality.
