Nice! Ever since I moved, we also got 100 Mb/s internet. Sometimes during the day (around 12:00 - 15:00) I see peaks to around 115 Mb/s.

Now my upload is around 35-37 Mb/s from my previous 25 Mb/s

Optimum man, sadly Verizon didn't provide in my area so that wasn't an option.

Then again, you already have 250 by default, so for most that's more than enough.

Edit: If you link your Facebook account to your Steam, you get 50 slots free.

True too. Plus I don't need to get any more since I can just turn my external drives to internal if I wanted to. That's what I did to my 640GB Seagate when I was installing Windows 10 since I didn't want to wipe my XP drive for backup reasons and because I feel it's just slowly dying on me.

Easy: An aquarium PC featuring the ring of fire, the 10/10 MLG pro water filter that broke, and of course the treasure chest of bubbles.

And a picture of Darla in the front.

Level 13, and I didn't know it. For all this time I thought I was still Level 10-11, but I guess I got some free badges and the pillar of community of something for completing all tasks, so there's that.

Hopefully when I get $20, I'll try to level up to at least 20.

It does serve a purpose in trading. Most "good" traders tend to not trade with anyone under a certain threshold.

And it does expand your friends list by 5 every level, so that's a bonus I guess.

If you wanted to get a 4k monitor later on, I would just suggest getting the 1080 or a better GPU later with a 4k. See how lower resolutions work for you and decide if you need to go 4k.

I would highly recommend watching this video on futureproofing: https://www.vessel.com/videos/DSxN1jVWw

Yes

...in every builds I see on this website there is no operating system.

There are plenty of builds that state the operating system, but most don't and most usually are running on some form of Windows. Other operating systems include Linux distros (like Ubuntu or SteamOS) or OSX.

I need an upgrade to my computer...

First, and this happened sometime after I installed Windows 10 and somewhat immediately after I changed resolutions from my native 1680x1050 to 1280x1024. I started up one day, and Windows would start to boot fine, but there's this moment where the video would cut out for a second to reveal a lower framed loading screen (it was common to see). Usually it's all fine and dandy, but sometimes during that video cut, there would be no display while the monitor tried to search for a signal. I haven't changed the resolution because I figure that it would be easier to switch windows from CS:GO to say chrome and back without waiting 3 minutes trying to get the game back up to pace. It's random on if it'll display a signal, and changing the resolution (with the keyboard) or Windows key+P wouldn't help. I'd either have to rely on luck to if it'll display a signal or try to boot into low-resolution mode (granted the OS doesn't load in time).

Second, which happened last night, was a nightmare trying to get the thing work. This time, video would cut out all the time when booting, then it progressively got worse to the point where video would cut out after the BIOS picture. I can get into the BIOS fine and it would display picture fine, but then it got even worse where it would cut picture in and out in the BIOS.

I'm thinking it's either:

  1. My GPU is overheating (something I didn't even think last night for some reason)
  2. My GPU is seeing the light
  3. I need to use another connection (I'm currently using a HDMI to DVI cable as that would be compatible for both my monitor and my Chromebook)

The issue is not my monitor, as it displays picture perfectly on my Chromebook, even when turned off and turned on.

I've already tried clearing CMOS and replacing the CMOS battery to no avail. I've also tried disconnecting any unnecessary drives and cables with the same result. I can't test the video from the board since it comes with no video ports.

When I get the next opportunity to, I will try to boot it after it has cooled down. After all, I was getting a temp on the CPU (from the BIOS) at 43.5C. I can imagine worse from the GPU, so probably it's overheating.

Then again I did have the system on for around 7 hours with it being stuck against my wall will barely enough airflow.... Yeah, maybe that's why...

For those wondering my specs:

  • Intel Core2Duo E6600 @ 2.4Ghz
  • Some Zalman Ball bearing CPU cooler, something similar to this
  • ASUS P5B Wi-Fi AP Deluxe
  • 3GB DDR2 RAM (2x1GB G.Skill 800Mhz & 1x1GB AMP Memory)
  • 640GB Seagate External HDD converted to internal
  • ASUS EAH5850 DirectCU TOP (1GB GDDR5)
  • Corsair TX 850 V2
  • Raidmax Smilodon ATX Mid Tower
  • Monitor: Viewsonic Optiquest Q20wb

You cannot move an installed game between drives.

For most platforms yes you can. Let's say for Steam, you'll need to create a Steam folder for your games and then move the folder of the game to the new destination and have Steam recognize that you have the game installed at said location. You'll just have to delete it from the original location and then "Install" the game where it should be located at.

Edit: I may have misread your comment, so if this is what you meant, then disregard my comment.

From most of the games I play now (CS:GO and Spiral Knights), I would have to lean towards the mechanics side of things. It's true that in games like Portal 1/2, the story plays a more significant role in making the game amazing, I prefer games like CS:GO or Spiral Knights where there is little to no or irrelevant story and where understanding mechanics makes the game more enjoyable.

I got scammed from my M4A1-S | Bright Water (FT) when a fake bot trade offered me saying that they need to check my skins or I would be banned from CS:GO Lounge, and I would have to respond in 15 minutes or something.

Before that, I got scammed of an AK-47 | Redline (FT) which was around $7-$7.50 at the time because someone on CS:GO Lounge had a Desert Eagle | Crimson Web (FN), but instead he had a Desert Eagle | Crimson Web (MW), and then when I tried to trade it back, he countered my trade offer with just my Deag and nothing from his side.

Rip my skins. Keep in mind this was about 1-2 years ago (around then, I knew about scamming and stuff, but I was probably too quick to respond and I ended up pay for it with $10 or so worth in skins at the time.)

I know of something along the lines of "I have two hands," but I don't know all the lyrics in Tagalog

Tagalog:

Ako meron, dalawa kamai
Isa kaliwa, isa kanan
Ka li li wili antig mo
something something something

English(ish):

I have two hands, the left and the right
Hold them up high so clean and bright
Clap them softly, one, two, three
Clean little hands are good to see!

I don't even know if that's an accurate English translation, I just know of it because my mom and grandparents used to sing it to me.

The only reason I would want to get a new PSU is for modularity. This one doesn't have any, so cables are just sticking out.

Unless it's a big case with a basement, then it doesn't matter. (Planning on a Noctis 450 White/Blue)

I think I may just plan on upgrading the entire system except for maybe the PSU if I need to save on the budget. (Corsair TX 850 V2)

Plus, my board only supports DDR2 RAM, and for what I want to use it, it's pretty slow.
