It's a beautiful board, not sure what a better option would have been but I'm happy with it.
You were right!
Thank you for the well structured answer. As it turns out all it took was a clean windows install.
Sadly something went wrong when I was backing up and I lost 160gb of data! But oh well, better than all of it.
I'm sorry I don't particularly follow. I understand the premise of Intel's optane but now entirely what you have said.
Can you provide further reading or explanation?
Good idea, but without a need to compromise there wouldn't be much point. Although quad channel RAM is another tick for the AMD side.
Thank you for putting some time in to your comment, sorry for the late reply. Interesting thoughts, I think I'd have more fun with the 9900k but considering I can't get hold of one.... Yeah not looking promising.
Interesting comparison, seems quite hard to pick between the two.
And with RAM I will be stepping up to 32gb now and then another 32gb afterwards if necessary.
Many thanks for the comprehensive and thorough response. I think I'm going to go for the Hero then. Now just have to wait for payday!
That's what I like to hear. Any justification as to why? What makes it a better board?
Think after that issue, I'm just going to get a portable hard drive instead.
Sorted, managed to get a refund for the item :)
As simple as that? Was hoping not to do that really, but I personally can't see another option.
Looks like a good deal, thank you.
AW it reminds me of my build except a generation ahead! Great choice with the Phantom, the build looks awesome.
There's my build. ^^
The problem stopped and I didn't manage to check in time what was eating up the CPU but I will check next time.
To be honest the only free to play game I play on Steam is War Thunder, probably my biggest time sink and personally I really enjoy it.
So jealous of that GPU, really want one myself but I can't finance it you know. Could you post some better pics of it please? If you ever feel like selling it just let me know and I'll take it off your hands!
The sheer number of pointless guides do I annoy me so I agree it would be nice if the staff could do something about it.
I have browns and bought some O rings for them, to be honest they don't make much difference in terms of sound it's still a pretty loud keyboard and in terms of how it feels I've noticed next to no difference. They only down side is they take forever to put on each key.
They have a different number of pins on the stick meaning they would need a different motherboard, so no.
Seems pretty balanced IMO, what's with the tiny font in your description though? Just wondering.
The K70 is pretty popular. ^
If you don't think you need it then there's no need to spend the money. But having a better GPU will probably help you expand out and try other games which will definitely benefit from the more power.
That's understandable, I can see why you all rave about the long shift key but the large enter is invaluable to me at this point, so IDK if I could switch to an American layout.
What's so weird about it? It's how every keyboard in the UK is laid out.
Oh never mind I found that amazon sell it with the layout I am used to!
I know what you mean, it's just that pretty much every keyboard over here in the UK is laid out like that and it's what I'm used to. But I guess I can try it out.
If you want a numpad then go for the K70 otherwise the Ducky looks too be good and has a great reputation as a brand.
I might be wrong but that doesn't look like a 970 to me.
I've left it with almost 20% free space though, I thought that would be enough.
Oh, like you can't pull it out of the GPU?
I'm just curious as to why you can't flip that PSU?
Oh OK, I wasn't sure due to how many people told me to stick away and stay with MSI EVGA etc, I did consider them because that specific cooler looks pretty nice.
In the $1200 build there's a Palit GTX 780, alot of people advised me against Palit saying that they weren't a great brand. Is that a card you've picked or is it just the cheapest 780 over in america?
How much for the i7?
I don't know much about the lower end graphics cards, such as the one you have picked. But I'd definately recommend AMD's APU's. The one I had did great for the price 2 years ago, and I'm sure they have fantastic ones now that maybe very applicable to this type of budget!
There is no need to call someone special, just because they were trying to help. Even if they sound abit sarcastic about it.
That's perfectly fine, if it makes the community a better place then I'm all for it. Good idea!
It looks nice! Any reason for the last gen CPU?
He did state that it wasn't perfect, but he has managed to route alot of the cables through the back much more effectively, I think you should give it another go and you might be surprised!
You are probably completely right. I think I can hold off for a year and then I'll see where the market stands.
I am surprised at how much they've come down in price. I figured they were still only for enthusiasts with thousands to spare. That's nice to see!
Well it's alright I guess...
That's no problem I was just curious.
I have enough fans, it was OK but i preferred it a single card.
OK man it's up to you.
No, but it leads to more heat output.
Yeah that's what I was thinking, I just like it and know how to deal with it.
If it was me i'd definately try and get a 760 or 770 just because of how much I love shadowplay, but there are other options with AMD that I am sure work just as well. Whatever card you get playing will be juts as satisfying. :)
Thank you! When you get your GPU yours will be very impressive too, well done. :)
