$20-30 for more performance is better than not being able to have the option to overclock later on if you wanted to. But if money was an issue (didn't think think it would be considering the amount he spent) i would have definitely gone with something that is going to give me an option for later. You don't have to overclock a CPU you would leave it how it comes but having the option to clock it later is better than not having that option at all. But that's everyone different opinion.

Sleeved cables for the PSU? I couldn't really figure another way to get the cables any more tidy under the Mobo but as for the PSU i just used what came with it. I didn't the money to get more at the moment so I did with what it came with. I could update it later with sleeved PSU cables.

You don't need to overclock the 6700k. For the same price for the 6700k you would get better performance than the 6700.
