JUST WOW I have the wraith spire on my 1400 and when I put 1.35V in order to get 3.9/4.0 the prime95 hits above 85C and the PC restarts so I am stuck at 3.8 at 1.275V
great chip you hit the jackpot
M.2 is not neccessary for those titles and honestly just go for the 1400 and OC it no point in going for 1500X I OCed my 1400 with the stock cooler at 3.8 works like a charm at 1.2750V check it out
200$ on headphones and 100$ for a windows but with a 1050 my heart JUMPED A BEAT
If you are happy I am happy but still the FEELS
I think somebody didn't get the memo
THE i5 IS DEAD
Nice components but that case man looking at all this cables and I am getting goosebumps I would have recommended you go with NZXT S340 to hide all to wires like this:
Nice cable management AMD fanboy here (or best bank for you buck fanboy) approves WELCOME to the real world check out mine
Wow I am sorry that you could OCed to 3.8. I think you are just really unlucky I hit 3.8 with 1.2750V however if I try to go to 1.3750V for the 3.9 with the stock cooler or ever 1.3500V the temps during Prime95 go over 85 and the PC crashes I found out that my chips cant handle voltage over 1.35 witht he stock cooler :(
Have you tried lowering to voltage to get to 3.8 guess I hit gold but I OCed my ryzen to 3.8 with 1.2750V on stock cooler and I never go over 60C during Aida64 let alone gaming
Yawl dog I heard you like fans so I put some fans next to you fans so you can fan while your fan fans.......
I agree scrape up some cash and get a 350. Other than that great build
Ryzne 5 1400 in my opinion is a great CPU for gaming if you like oyu can check out my build with the 1400 here:
I can't speak for the colleague but I have a similar build you guys can check here:
As far as benchmark goes:
The cpu is OCed to 3800 Mhz with 1.2750V
Cinebench score 817
Temps on idle 40C
Aida64 max temp never goes over 60C
Prime 95 max temp never goes over 81C
Those are like 3-4 hour stress tests.
As for games the most "demanding" game I tried was Just Cause 3 above 100FPS everything at max
I got the wraith spire cooler for 15$ from a guy that had the 1700 and was not using it since he got a water cooling on the 1700. You can get it from ebay for around 15-20$ but for that price you can also get an EVO 212. I got the wraith sprite mainly because of the led ring it looks cool :) . Otherwise the 1400 come with the wraith stealth.
A quick update the R5 1400 is running at 3800 mhz with 1.2750V with a wraith spire cooler 2 hour stress test on Prime95 max temp 81C. At normal workload like gaming and stuff max temp is around 55C
I would but I don't have the cash as I mentioned in the description I already had one monitor and those two were like 50$ :D
No but I just like dragons.
