Comment reply on kevosaurusrx's Completed Build: Financial Mistake - 9900k + 2080ti

Well, I have 6 fans in my case. 3 intake and 3 exhaust. However, I'm pretty sure I messed up my fan curves the first time I tried to mess with them in iCUE. I don't think they were blowing as hard as they should have been. I have since adjusted the fan curves and my temps haven't gone above 73° or 74°. I'm still curious about this hybrid kit though, for sure. Although, it's looking like I can't get it for the 2080 Ti XC Ultra, unfortunately :(

Where'd you find that Hybrid Kit for the XC? I'm having trouble finding it and my GPU hit 85° playing GTA 5. I wanted to take a look at it.

Haha, yeah. I made the build with 2 2080 Tis in mind, which was around (I think) 750 watts. Plus, I like to get a bit extra just to be sure, so I settled on the 1000 watt PSU. And you're right, it's a super powerful PC and pretty expensive. But I knew how much it would be after I decided to scrap the "cheap high-end pc" idea. Honestly, no regrets here.

Right, negative pressure... That makes sense, I didn't even think about that!

Yes, that's the case I meant. It's the case I'm getting in the next week and I wanted to be sure. That's strange though, because a review video I watched said there was room. I'm glad I asked you as well. Thank you for your consistently informational replies!

Thank you for the VERY detailed statistics. That is much appreciated! One more question, is there room to top mount the H150i? Or can it only fit the H100i? And if there is room, would top mounting the H150i be a better option than the H100i? On paper, I would say yes... But from what you're telling me, it doesn't seem like that would be the case.

So, what were the temps with the H150i? You said they weren't that great and your temps look good with the H100i, but that push/pull config with the H150i seems like it would have some impressive temps and it is what I wanted to do. I would, of course, upgrade the fans on the H150i to the LL120s though. Should I just stick with the smaller H100i?
