Yes, that was the mindset for me to learn french... Just emigrate to France, to embrace the language. Also, speaking as much french as i can is oe of the strategies that i'm applying here.

Every person learns languages differently IMHO, but techniques to study in french definitely are present, past and future tense, and the common irregular verb conjugations that you will use often in each tense, such as etre or avoir. What really helped me is just revising vocabulary...

Got it. All the people say the same as well, so i'm giving special attention to that. I was thinking on the videos in french like a complement of my studies (french classes that i'm having).

Thanks for the help :)

Hahahaha XD

First: I tried Duolingo, i got bored. I just went for other startegies instead.

Second: Yeah, the verbs are really a pain, especially the third group of verbs. Oh also the exceptions... they are quite few and still somewhat challenging

Third: I can't speak eloquently the language, but i always try circumlocution or just dumbing down my sentences. It's the effort, error to correction, that dmakes the evolution.

Fourth: Numbers are easy once you get the idea... Unless if i have to hear and catch it from someone that speaks very fast or not clear enough to understand. Alphabet it's almost on point, still some words that i didn't get it right with the prononciation.

Fifth: And yes it helps. :) I'm looking for compliments besides my classes to really acknowledge the language.

I'm currently taking intensive french classes that are going to last 3 months. That is taken care of.

These videos are more of a complement.

The most complete solution would be to get into a french language class at university or a language school.

I agree with the second argument of yours but this first one, it's fifty fifty. The majority of my english was learnt by doing stuff that i really enjoy where i had english language. If i had only stayed to what i learnt in school, i probably wouldn't make it to the level that i currently have. Most of the times, my english classes were boring and even worst for me cause i'm not the kind of person that can stand to be in a classroom always 100% absorbing everything.

But hey, thanks for the advice :) Currently doing what you just said

To be fair, that was one of the motives that i left my country. Not only i was getting tired of Duolingo, as i wasn't seing that much of a progression and i came to realize that it had some mistakes (at the time) when someone from my family (that knows both french and portuguese), reported that to me.

Instead of Duolingo, i was trying to learn french while doing something that i really enjoy (video games, youtube or music). The majority of my english wasn't learnt on my boring english classes... but from the excelente video game experiences, great music that i was hearing, the amount of english videos that i saw, films and series in english, even to a point of talking to people on the program ERASMUS. As i love PC building and tech related, this was something that crossed my mind. Besides that, my Duolingo are now the intensive french classes that i'm having during 3 months... I just want to acknowledge the language ASAP.

Hello, i got good news.

I also was in the forums of EA were i exposed my problem and i also had recommendations from there. I had the intention to go with your advices if those from the EA forums wouldn't work... But since it worked, might as well share it.

But basically, i just turned off Firewall and my Antivirus (Kaspersky). Downloaded everything like a charm. Plays the game flawlessly

So thank you for everything and for your time spent on my problem.

  • Windows 10 Pro (64 bits version).

  • It doesn't succeed on updating the game. If i recall correctly the update has +20 GB of it and the download just stops at 8.42 GB. It reaches this point and doesn't advance any further, just hanging in there.

  • This is my system and yes, the game used to work normally before the update.

The more detailed information we have regarding what's going on, the more quickly and effectively we can help find a resolution

I don't know if this will help but here goes. I also own Battlefield V (via Origin) and it had a problem: The game worked fine except that i couldn't enable DX 12 and Ray Tracing. Origin at some point released an update, that corrected that for me and now the game works perfectly. I suspect that's a problem with Origin as well for the Apex Legends... Maybe an update with corrupted files or something like that, not letting me update any further.

Thanks for the time and attention to my problem. I look forward for your answer/solution :)

I wasn't going to assume based on your username but it turns out that's actually the real place you're from.

I have a friend, that has more economic freedom, that visited USA. He visited Miami and New Orleans (on a cruiser that also visited other countries) and he said that he really liked to visit these cities. I then asked "Guns, violence, crime; have you seen those?" this question came out because the majority of the news that we heard here from USA, taking Trump aside, is gun violence, crime and the death that come from that. He simply said "Haven't seen none. Despite what the news tell us, the reality that i experienced when i visited these 2 cities was the other way around."

I someday intend on visiting USA too. I would like to visit LA, NYC, Washington DC, Miami, Vegas (don't know if i should). I don't know any more beautiful and awesome places that America has to offer but for now, i have this list :)

Also, Japan, the North countries of Europe and some for the south of Europe, are also on my list to visit too.

I only set foot on Spain, France, Belgium and Germany, and let me tell you... the Germany ladies are just beautiful hot! XD

Sorry for the late response (been busy).

what router do you have?

I can't tell. The ISP provided it's own router for us (zero cost). I searched everywhere but i didn't find any brand or model of the router. The only thing it has is the ISP brand's name (Altice).

Is it seperate from the modem from the ISP?

I don't know what you are asking. My device is router and modem on the same device, if i'm correct. You got to ask/explain like if you are talking for an ignorant person like myself, on this subject, cause i have no idea what are you asking on this 1.

kinda sounds like the router ports are only 10/100 instead of gigabit???

I can only tell the speed on mbits, cause that's the internet speed unity provided by the ISP. I got fiber internet but currently using the lowest internet speed from the fiber internet speed (100 mbits, which is in 12,5 MB). Of course, if you want more speed, you have to pay more. The other speed variants that i saw that my ISP can provide were: 250 mbits, 500 mbits and 1000 mbits (which are 31.25 MB, 62.5 MB and 125 MB, respectively). Which in resume (and i hope to answer your question), that i'm limited by the internet package from my ISP. I can have a gigabit speed if i want, my router is already prepared for that, all that it needs is a call from me and a bigger paycheck for my ISP... Only that. XD

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Connected to the internet via cable but still not getting the 100 mb/s speed? wwwWWHHHAATtt?"

I don't know either. The technique from my ISP, that installed my fiber internet, said that the internet at 2.4 GHz could only reach at 50mbps and 5 GHz could only reach at 100 mbps (but with the option to upgrade it as long as i pay more for it, which means they can provide more speed through the 5 GHz frequency to 250mbps or 500 mbps or even 1000mbps).

And yes, my PC can detect both wireless and wired internet, can be connected to both and automatically chooses the best one (wired connection as preference).

I think the 2.4 GHz can't reach higher speeds but has a longer reach and it doesn't disturbs easily as the 5 GHz counterpart (i remember studying that at physics and too see that here on the internet as well but kinda lazy to search that XD)

This almost a copy paste from another reply i gave to other user.

I tested again. All of the webpages that test the internet speeds gave me a score in megabits.

So when using the 5GHz connection (wireless internet) it gave me: 100 mbps download and 60 mbps upload (the nearest server on me)

When using the internet cable i got this results: 100 mbps download and 100 mbps upload (same server)

So i'm thinking that i might misunderstand mbps for MB, as if i convert 100 mbps to MB it give me 12.5 MB.

Yeahh... i guess that i messed up because of my ignorance and just created a forum post just for my lack of attention... I'm sorry. I'm still answering all your questions anyway.

How exactly are the speeds "capped"?

My bad. Used the wrong word. I wanted to say the maximum internet provided by ISP. If i payed more for the internet package, i could have even better internet speeds.

Is there a router setting preventing users from exceeding a set speed, is it a hardware limitation, or are they speed limits in your experience?

None. We could manually set a limit for other users to not exceed some internet speed but there's no need of that. The router provides the internet with 2 wireless frequencies (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, which they make 50 mbps and 100 mbps download respectively). The strange thing is when i connect my PC to the router via internet cable (Cat7) it shows that if i was connected to a wired version of 2.4 GHz internet frequency (even though i'm not connected to a wireless internet when i just want to use the internet wired). But as you read above, i have internet speeds better than the 2.4 GHz frequency, which means that despite it says (on the wired internet) that i'm using the 2.4 GHz frequency, practically i'm using the best one, which is the 5 GHz frequency speeds. Strange if you ask me.

What is the advertised speed of your ISP?

On the 2.4 GHz frequency (50 mbps download and upload)

On the 5 GHz frequency (100 mbps download and upload)

As i saw from my wired internet (using Cat7 to connect PC to the router) i get 100 mbps download and upload as well.

Sorry for my ignorance and lack of attention. I screwed up big time.

I never tried that. Next time i play those games, i will adjust the FOV and increase it.

I actually have my FOV on Rocket League higher, but it was with the mentality of seeing more of the field (have a vision of everything that is going on, especially players that like to bump into me).

GTA V on the other hand, i never had the need to adjust the camera or anything. However, sometimes i play as third person and other times as first person perspective.

Definitely trying your advice :) Thanks for the help!

You know what, i'm making an experiment.

I consulted the GPU's website and it really has the feature to stop working at idle or low working flow (meaning low temperatures). They call it "Smart Fan system" so i hope they are true. I will do the updates once again with the GPU on and try to download a game from Steam and play it, just to see if it really stays turned off or it really detects higher work flow + temperatures and procedes to turn on it's fans (and it's rgb) in order to cool itself.

Otherwise, i will follow your advice (same as my local informatics technician).

Thanks for dropping by the suggestion :)

I think it's better for me to just delete windows 10 and erase the actual BIOS and start again from zero. It's too much nonsense from the point where i am.

Just so you know, somehow, whenever windows 10 starts, my discrete gpu just stops working (it works when system is booting and when is turning off)

Both SSDs and HDD are brand new.

The SSD that has the Win10 is seen perfectly. The second one just on BIOS and Device Manager but not on Disk Manager, make it impossible for me to even do anything on it.
