90 degrees is hot.
- Incorrect mounting of heatsink
- Too little/too much thermal compound
- CPU Fan set to low RPM
- High VCore voltage supplied by MB 1.4+ V
- Remount the heatsink with fresh thermal compound.
- Add a second fan to the heatsink for push/pull config
- Avoid Prime stress test as they are not goof for your CPU. Use Real-bench or others.
- Manually overclock your system using lower Vcore, at 4.2Ghz 1.225V is plenty
Congrats on your build! :)
I have an overkill PSU aswell, 850W, I chose this for easy future upgrades and noise. My PSU will only kick the fan in when 40% power is utilized, and I rarely see the fan spin. :D
I love this case!
Hey, thanks! :)
Nice, I always like ITX builds
I have the same case! :)
The price on that Titan X tho! Ouch..
Nice build and cable combs will help :)
Last time I checked Intel 4 cores are very capable of encoding and editing.
I have the same case :D
For future upgrades? why not?
Now its removed to have a cleaner look! :)
Very very cool build, loving the black on black!
I need to do that mod for my rig!
You should call this the crazy house! Love the colors! +1
Same here, but its lonely on steam! Add me if your interested to play :) +1
Nice, what PSU is that?
I have the same cooler! I love the Manta, my next build will defo be an mITX in this case!
I like that cooler! :)
Nice build, I have the same case and currently upgrading my lighting system. (Will be upgrading photos too)
I noticed you have 4 intakes and 1 exhaust? My 2 cents would be to use the rad as exhausts as well, the 760T is a big case so amble room for air to move from the two front intakes :) +1
I love this case, my next build will defo be in this!
If its g-sync you don't need v-sync within your refresh rate! :) Thanks!
Hi, for the ATX motherboard cables I used bitfenix ATX extension leads that you can buy on Amazon.
Yes I am using a Noctua NH-12US heatsink, I took out the fan that came with the cooler and replaced them with Corsair ML120 PRO fans.
Hope that helps & and good luck with your build :)
I really like this build, black on blacks looks great!
Question: How do you play with your games, vsync on or off? or depends on the game?
I love this case!!
If he unplugs the machine again and it doesn't turn on, it could be a motherboard issue. This happened to me before with an ASUS Hero VIII and I got the motherboard returned and ordered and ASUS Z170-A everything works perfectly fine now :D
Very nice and clean build. Kudos!
Hi, nice build
With regards to your ML 120 pro fan, you need to plug it into the motherboard CPU and/or CPU_OUT fan connectors for it to be fully functional as it is a PWM fan.
Note, radiator fans always need to be connected to CPU or/and CPU_OUT fan headers on the motherboard or a Y-connector from the radiator to the motherboard.
Great case by the way :)
Photos updated :)
Nice case, but looks like a difficult case to build in!
Hey , thanks.
The cables I'm using are bitfenix extensions, hence the black cables from the PSU are EVGA.
Made sense in terms of cost. Having full white cables would be totally cool too, but adds to the budget.
You can also have black & white braided cables so many option :)
Hope your build goes smoothly :D
Will post heaven and 3D mark benchmarks :D
Hi, the bottom intake is not connected as I dont need it running :) I decided to go two intake and 1 exhaust :) Once I get Ti GPU models,I will connect it to keep the system cool
Can you tell me if the W_PUMP header was enabled by default on the BIOS?
Also was it difficult to get the Corsair Cooler on as the cables are quite stiff?
