Good to know. Thank you for this information. If your buddy end's up ga5mming or running some stress test such as 3DMARK on his GPU's, please post his temperatures.
Okay well if he ever does check his temp, please post them in here as I am curious. I ended up putting the second card in the bottom slot and installed a wifi adapter in the second slot and my max temp for my top card is around 68 which are more than ok for me. Out of curiosity, why did you choose references card?
It reaches 100 degrees Celsius.... Obviously way too hot so I have to install the bottom one in the lower pci slot where my max temp reaches 68. There is simply not enought space between the pci 1 and 2 for enough airflow. I've been trying to find a solution to this issue for a while now since the third pci slot is only x4. How much space do they have in between both card? Perhaps your graphic cards are a little thiner than mine.
I currently have the same motherboard but with 2 r9 280x running in crossfire. The gap between both graphic cards is maybe half an inch and my top card gets very hot. Do you have the same problem?
